We had booked three rooms, and all of them had issues, particularly with cleanliness. All the hand basins needed to be wiped out, especially around the drain. One of the toilets was not cleaned properly, and there was a musty smell in another room. Additionally, the television in one of the rooms did not work. I noticed that the headboard was marked as well. In one room, the carpet was lifting in one area. The base area of the fridge had not been wiped. We were not informed about the 15 steps we had to walk down to reach our room. While we were there, we witnessed a gentleman trying to help a frail elderly lady get out of her wheelchair and ascend the stairs. Furthermore, at check-in, another guest complained about noise coming from the room next to him, mentioning that he had to contact the police during his last stay due to the disturbances. The person checking us in was not particularly cheerful. When we were leaving, there was a very old vacuum cleaner in the hallway that was left unattended, and we had to maneuver around it with our luggage and a walker. After our stay, I communicated our feedback to the accommodation chain. We have been traveling for nine days this week, and this was the only place where we encountered these issues. It has now been a week, and we still have not heard back from them. Perhaps this reflects the lack of concern from the head office. I have never complained about accommodation before, but this experience was disappointing.

It was advertised as a deluxe room, it definitely wasn’t. Air conditioner old and very noisy, had to turn it off to sleep, only one blanket, room cold (Windsor that evening 0.7 degrees) only one set of pillows, tea and coffee not refurbished, no plug in bathroom and worst of all we found a bug in the bed.
