Beautiful location overlooking the Caldera, very helpful staff, conveniently located, fairly close to Fira.

This property had incredible views and sunsets. Was peaceful and quiet. Just the right distance from Fira to be walkable but away from the business. Lovely attentive staff and an incredible dinner menu!

The service and kindness of all the employees was definitely the best part of this hotel! It was absolutely excellent. The location is great, close walk to everything you need - but in a quieter area than the center of Fira. The views are also beautiful, as seems to be the case around majority of the island! The room itself was okay, clean - but our particular room was loft style and was not warm or cozy. The stairs to get to the bedroom portion were not the most comfortable to go up and down. Also the living room area could use a couch instead of a daybed for two people to actually hangout. Overall, had a great stay though.

Lovely view and very friendly staff!

Two simple words, just outstanding! My husband and I stayed 5 nights towards the end of April. We were up-graded to a larger room upon check-in and the view was stunning! The room was exactly as pictured. Definitely the Cycladean design with white walls and a rounded ceiling with a small patio accessible from the bedroom and a porch by the front door. The location of the hotel is in the town of Firostefani, which borders Fira, the capital. Both towns are situated in the middle of the of the caldera. This provides a panoramic view of both ends of the island, which we personally thought was the best view on the island. But above all, it was the superb service we received from the hotel employees. It was the details, that impressed us the most. Daily checks from the maid services to make sure we had plenty of supplies and to clean our rooms, breakfast delivered in a very timely manner to our patio, exactly on time and never late or cold, and the wonderful bar staff who waited on us at poolside. Lastly, kudos to a fantastic front desk, especially Thios ( I hope I got her name spelled correctly ), she was so helpful and sincere! She arranged taxis, booked a phenomenal catamaran tour, recommended restaurants and took time to help me with my pronunciation of some Greek words. She truly made our trip one of those once-in-a-lifetime vacations!!

Homeric Poems is a very great place to stay. The staff are very approachable and helpful with directions and tips. A couple of staff met us at the drop off point. One carried our bags all the way to our room while the other gave us an overview of the island. It is probably a flight of 3 stairs to get to our room so going up to the street will be a challenge for those with knee issues. But the view from our room is spectacular. We can see the crater and nearby town Imerovigli. Breakfast is served at the veranda facing the sea. Fira town where most of the shopping and dining places are is only a few minutes walk and mostly downhill. We visited Oia which is like an upscale Fira. I recommend dinner at Ammoudi.
