Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras - All Inclusive

Well organized, nice staff, comfortable spacious rooms, great food and good shows , everything you would expect from an all inclusive Riu hotel. Stayed over Christmas with my son, and the Christmas present from the hotel for kids was a nice surprise. The Christmas dinner was also nice, contributing to the festive atmosphere . Hotel was nicely decorated for holidays.

Clean, calm and great food. Really enjoyed that they served us drinks on the tables instead of running to a self service table. An extra applause for Luciano. Wonderful camarero. /The Swedish family who stayed over Christmas.

L’hôtel est idéalement placé à quelques centaines de mètres seulement de la playa del Ingles et des commerces. C’est un hôtel exceptionnel , magnifique où tout est parfait ! Les chambres avec petit balcon sont spacieuses et confortable. La literie est TOP ! Les buffets de tous les repas sont excellents et variés ! Le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable et il est vraiment « aux petits soins  » pour nous! En résumé, on a tout aimé! 👍👍👍

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and there is so much to praise! The food was excellent throughout our stay, with high quality and great variety. Cleanliness was truly outstanding – everything, everywhere, was spotlessly clean at all times. The rooms were beautiful and very much in true Riu style: modern, elegant and extremely comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and contributed to a great night’s sleep. The pool area is also very beautiful and well maintained. And the STAFF deserves special mention! The OLDER generation of employees were absolutely fantastic – warm, calm, professional and genuinely attentive. They took their time with guests, yet were just as efficient, and even remembered what you usually ordered the day before. Unfortunately, some of the younger staff members seemed stressed and short-tempered at times, which was noticeable in comparison. One male waiter was really rude to us when he asked how many we where (to get a table), and continued to let out a big sigh when he asked us…so this dinner experience was totally ruined because of him. We saw that he was rude to other guests as well, when he seated them. And continued to talk with a female collegue about how horrendes this dinner service is. BUT this was one time during the whole week, on our last night, so not something that I would consider a problem. Despite all the positives, there are two main reasons why I would probably not choose this hotel again. The first is the pool area’s lack of sun. There are many palm trees in and around the pool area, which is beautiful to look at, but it means that only about one third of the area actually gets sun. Since sun loungers are taken very early in the morning, you end up having to move around every couple of hours to follow the sun and avoid the shade from the palms. The palm trees are undeniably lovely, but if some of those, mainly located around the edges and near the bushes (where there is already privacy) were removed, more guests would have access to sunlight – which is, after all, one of the main reasons people travel to Gran Canaria in the first place. The second downside is the room design. There is a glass wall between the bathroom and the sleeping area, which allows light to shine through at night when the bathroom light or night light is turned on, which lights up the bedroom. Overall, a high-quality hotel with excellent standards, but with a few design and layout choices that unfortunately affected the overall experience for me, but for some one else maybe these are not important, in which this is an excellent hotel!

We have stayed at this hotel previously and this visit was as good as the last everything was first class
