"Unique hotel experience. Food service sucks!"

Had a good experience with the hotel. It was very relaxing until we had dinner at Upper Deck. It was definitely NOT MEDITERRANEAN food and the service is appalling. We were celebrating our mother’s birthday and I specifically requested for a cake and a band. Unfortunately, we did not receive any of this and band did not show up! Wehave to wait to return to our villa before we received it. To think that we spent almost 10 grand for a substandard meal, I expected better food and service. I have to keep repeating my orders and I have to keep asking for cutleries or just simple water. I have been to several boutique hotels all over the world, and I would say this restaurant is one of the WORST! The hotel staff on the other hand are quick to attend to our needs and everyone was courteous. The Healing Sanctuary also has great service!
