Hotel Ariston

For the price is good. Clean, comfy. The only downsides are: terrible noise from the street and lack of air conditioner. It was hard to sleep cos of the heat from outside. 85€ for double bed it's really affordable. During the winter I would stay here again.

Loved Bolzano

This is a nice hotel, but it is in a busy area. The receptionist was a pleasant, helpful fellow. The room was nice. It had a great shower, bed and TV. Hallway light switches were a bit difficult to find and some other hotel residents plus myself just walked the hotel corridors in the dark. I don't believe there was an elevator. Although the hotel was on a busy road out front, most of the rooms opened to a quiet residential area out back. I had a pleasant evening. The major problem is parking. I circled the area for nearly an hour trying to find a place to park. There were other cars also waiting - but they were waiting for an illegal spot to open up, so I was at a disadvantage. However, parking seems to be a major problem for all of Bolzano.

We stayed for just one night and found the hotel basic but clean. We had everything we needed in the room and the vending machine on the landing had hot and cold drinks and snacks. It was an easy walk to town too. The reception is not manned 24 hours so we had to wait for staff to arrive to check out. We used the garage for our care at an extra cost but the area was a bit busy and we felt safer with it locked away. We were asked for cash to pay for room which was tricky but the cash machine was not far away. Staff were helpful and spoke some English.

We stayed three nights in September. The room was basic but comfortable, although tea/coffee making facilities are not provided. To use our small travelling kettle, we unplugged the TV, which only seemed to have Italian language channels, anyway. Both bedroom and shower room were clean and tidy. The main sights of the town are an easy 20 minute walk away and a circuit, taking in Castel Roncolo, provides excellent exercise. On our arrival, the receptionist was very helpful and informative. Car parking could be a problem. A card, provided by the hotel for 50 euros (repaid when the card is returned) allows free parking in white-lined public car parks. We were fortunate in finding a space right outside the front of the hotel, but, at busy times, the only available places may be up to 300 metres away. Although our room faced the Via Roma, we were not unduly troubled by traffic noise. Should we ever return to Bolzano, we would have no hesitation in staying at the Ariston again.

We stayed overnight en route to The Dolomites in January. The room, although on a busy road, was quiet, warm and although simply furnished it was modern and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The receptionist was very professional and helpful. We managed to park outside the hotel in a pay and display car park but parking could have been a problem. The hotel is very close to all amenities, nice shops and restaurants and a bar/deli is next door which was useful as there was only a vending machine at the hotel. It was just a pity that WiFi only seemed to work in the limited public area. However, minor details and we would stay there again overnight,

the room was quite small for 4 people, but clean .

GO THERE. When i arrived there it seems that they wrer waiting for me. I felle as the most impostant guest. Really good price for the quality of the hotel. Funny personal, i sleep very well and from my room i could even watch a beatiful river.

Rooms were adequate. Just on Main Street, so a bit noisy. Staff was very helpful with telling us what buses to take to go into town. Thanks to trip advisor reviews, I found the main attractions! Got up cable cars into the Dolomites. Beautiful!

We paid over 100 euros per night for three beds in a tiny hotel room without air conditioning. No parking space available, no breakfast, considerable distance to city center. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
