Accoglienza con una puzza di fogna tremenda sulle scale! Primo giorno camera con sciacquone rotto e doccia con un filo di acqua (mi astengo dal commentare il bagno, indecente, con una scaletta senza parapetto, roba che se si dovesse andare al bagno di notte ti ammazzi), non ci hanno cambiato camera (b&b tutto pieno). Il giorno dopo ci hanno dato una camera decisamente migliore, però mentre il mio compagno si faceva la doccia hanno tolto l’acqua, peccato che nessuno ci aveva avvisato. Il titolare si è scusato alla fine del soggiorno ma sinceramente più di qualche lavoretto dovrebbe farlo!

The property itself is very nice and the staff are kind. A few things others may want to know (as I did). 1. There is no reception. You need to go to the bar/cafe next door. This was never communicated in any messages from the owner. 2. Breakfast (2 croissants and a coffee) are included in the price. Go to the cafe next door. Again this was never communicated, we just happened to go there on the first day. 3. The shower takes about 5 minutes to heat up. 4. There are two rooms with private balconies. One balcony is considerably smaller. That was disappointing based on what I thought I booked. 5. The street was under construction when we visited (March 2026) so parking or valet was not possible. We parked at Autopark Ortigia di La Mesa Maurizio. It was 20 Eur a night and easy walking to the hotel. You want a small car for these streets. 6. Bring ear plugs. At night, there is trash and recycling collection and sometimes loud conversations outside the window. All very typical of an area with small streets and a city people actually live in so you'll have the same "issue" across all the city.

Excellent location, lovely b & b with bar next door where coffee and croissants for breakfast were served. Friendly, helpful host, lovely stay.

Hot water and shower pressure a bit temperamental but didn't affect our stay.
