Canareef Resort is great. Staff polite and friendly. Food and beverage very good. Villa was very comfortable, cleaned was provided twice a day. Terrace big with grat view to ocean reefs. I also want to express my gratitude to Dr. Ali. He is not only an experienced specialist but also a very compassionate person. During my visits, I felt genuine care and professional medical attention. His treatment was very effective.

The island is simply a delightful stay in the wonderful Maldives. Our sunset beach view villa was wonderful and the housekeeping service tiptop. All the staff were 100% positive and helpful with the restaurant food very nice each day. You won’t want for much. Barracuda beach and bar is truly an amazing day to enjoy the beach and amenities. The free bikes were very helpful although took us a few days to get hold of them due to demand. The buggy drives are very efficient and made the stay in the long island even better. Thanks all for a great time. Our sendoff from the key will remain with us for a very long time in ending is all so nicely.

This was a return trip having been there in Dec 24 to celebrate a honeymoon and birthday. There were a few minor disappointments at the start which were quickly resolved. I found the bed hard on my hips. I struggle with a limited diet and found that quite challenging this time around. However, once I discussed my limitations with the Food & Beverages Manager, he ensured that I was catered for every day. Aloysious Noronha is a legend and I thank him and his team for looking after me. The private dining was exquisite and the chef is very talented. You truly turned it around for me and made it so special. I am looking forward to returning and trying your new restaurant sometime in the near future. The buggies are challenging and in short supply during the quieter months, but the resort has spent time and money improving this aspect. Sameen goes above and beyond to know everyone and he takes a genuine interest in people. The personalised birthday gift completely took me by surprise. We ventured off on a private dolphin tour which was great. The spa ladies are lovely and also worth visiting. The staff completely make this resort. From Peiyankara and Zalandwr and Heebon from the bar. Also thanks to Dr Ali for helping with a few health issues whilst on resort. One thing I did miss was being able to sit at the end of the Dhoni bar viewpoint. That was my favourite spot back in December and I didn't get to find out why the table and chairs were removed. however, It ended up being a fantastic 19 nights away and I did not want to leave.

The staffs in the hotel are very friendly and it was so neat and clean , I had some health issues and there was a doctor who also took care of me really well❤️

We had an excellent experience at Canareef Resort Maldives – it’s a stunning, peaceful island with so much to enjoy. The resort is about 4.5 km long, with villas lining both sides of the island, each with their own private beach entrance. Getting around by buggy or bike is easy and fun – I especially loved cycling to the free morning yoga, which was just 7 minutes from my villa. We were thrilled to receive a free upgrade to a larger villa with a spa pool and outdoor shower – an unforgettable experience! The villa was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained by our lovely cleaner who went above and beyond. There are three pools (one under renovation) and three bars (one temporarily closed), but there’s still more than enough to enjoy. The buffet restaurant was outstanding — a huge variety of fresh, delicious dishes daily. The Halloween-themed buffet and party were a real highlight: the staff went to extraordinary lengths, dressing in incredible costumes, performing a three-song dance show, and serving special themed cocktails different from other days. The attention to detail was amazing and made the evening so memorable. We went all-inclusive for around NZD $400 per day, which included three buffet meals, house drinks all day, yoga, bikes, a cocktail party, and poolside service — amazing value for what’s provided. The beaches are pristine, the water crystal clear, and the wildlife – from lizards and fruit bats to colourful birds – adds to the island’s charm. You can even cycle to a small neighbouring island, though there’s not much there, so it’s best to enjoy everything within the resort. Cycling to Baracuda Beach for snorkelling on the reef was another highlight. There are plenty of photo-worthy spots all over the island, perfect for capturing those paradise moments. Even with some areas under renovation, it didn’t affect our stay at all — there’s plenty open to keep you entertained and relaxed. Highly recommend Canareef Resort for couples, families, or friends — an unforgettable mix of island beauty, friendly service, and fun experiences.

Canareef has a beautiful environment and so much wildlife. there’s something for everyone! options for a relaxing evening or a fun night with a dj, pool tables and sand dance floor. absolutely loved it and cannot wait to come back!!

We have recently returned from an amazing stay at Canareef resort. From the moment we arrived to the final boat ride to Gan, we felt so welcomed, relaxed, and in awe of such an amazing place. Canareef was a 35hr journey from the UK, with 2 international flights, 1 domestic flight and a speed boat ride, which is worth considering, but I can say it was well worth the journey when you finally arrive. Canareef’s presence at the Male domestic flight terminal is appreciated and the young man there was very friendly and helpful, and the transfer from Gan via speedboat was well organised too. Upon arrival you are treated to a traditional Maldivian welcome with gifts and a fresh coconut drink. Check in process is smooth and you are taken to your room via buggy - which is an excellent amenity to have as the island is very large. We stayed in room 121 which was well located for Dhoni Bar, main restaurant and about a 4 minute walk from reception. The room is well furnished, cleaned to a good standard, and the outdoor bathroom area is a touch of adventure and a close connection to nature. Air con is crisp and there is also a ceiling fan which keeps the room super cool at all times, giving respite from the heat and humidity. Food in the main restaurant is varied every evening with themed meals. Nice selection of everything and the live cooking stations serve up freshly cooked meats/fish, which were all great. Breakfast was varied as well, with nice fresh juices, cereals, curries, meats and all things expected for a traditional European breakfast, as well as local cuisine too. Bar snacks ordered from the Dhoni bar were excellent, we had the Maldivian fried chicken and a portion of fries, which was enough for 2 of us to share, the only shame was that we didn’t discover how good it was until the final day of our stay, so I would recommend trying them! They are payable though, so these are extras added to your final bill. Beers and cocktails are included on the AI but if you wanted European branded beers and branded spirits, these were also chargeable. The local beer and cocktails were fine, but we did have a few premium spirits, the AI concept is different here, but I’m not sure if this is consistent with other resorts in the Maldives. It would be nice if certain/all spirits were included on AI, just to give guests more variety, but we did enjoy the Blue Lagoons/Whiskey Passions from the cocktail menu. The island is absolutely stunning, beaches well maintained and kept super clean by the fantastic staff. We had a great experience with all staff on the island; bar staff in the Dhoni bar were super pleasant and always so friendly and attentive. You can get a bicycle to explore the island, which I did and enjoyed riding around to find different parts of the island. You can also use the very handy buggy service by calling and they will come and collect you. We visited Meera bar some evenings too, for a more relaxed feel and there was even some live sport shown there some evenings too. We went to Bar Kuda beach bar, this is the best swimming spot (in our opinion) on the island and the perfect gateway for the varied marine life the island has to offer. We went out in the jetty on an evening so we could watch the shark feeding, which was a really interesting watch and saw a good variety of fish there too. We did the Addu City island tour which was very good, albeit slightly rushed, but we enjoyed that as well, and it was a nice way to see more local history and see the locals and how they lived. We really enjoyed ourselves, we had the most relaxed and amazing time. The staff made the island special and made our holiday special. We would definitely consider returning to Canareef, even though there are so many special places to return in the Maldives. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, and we would certainly recommend it to anyone considering a visit to this beautiful part of the world.

Canareef Resort is my kids’ favorite place to go for vacations! We recently visited with my husband and kids, and I was so touched that the front office staff remembered my children. I was so happy to see how excited they were to meet my kids again for Halloween and to see their costumes! They even danced so much with them ..my kids were overjoyed. Everyone at the resort was incredibly kind and welcoming. At the restaurant, the staff were also very friendly and helpful ..they even took my kids to get their favorite ice cream! 🍦 I would like to especially thank Chef Vikash and Chef Amilla. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the other staff members’ names, but I truly appreciate all of them for their kindness and care. We always visit during Halloween or on other special days, and while last year’s Halloween celebration was a bit more fun and lively than this year’s, we’re already looking forward to next Halloween being even better! 🎃 Canareef Resort truly remains one of the best places we’ve ever visited. ❤️

Our stay at Canareef Resort was truly wonderful. The front team were so friendly, attentive, and full of warmth my little ones absolutely loved spending time and dancing with them. The reception and kitchen team check on us often, and it really showed how much care and dedication they put into making guests feel at home... Every visit feels like returning to family, and every time we leave, my kids never want to. The food was amazing and has improved so much special thanks to Chef Vikash, Chef Amilla, and Chef Nanthagopal for ensuring every meal was great , specialty for my little once. . Our heartfelt thanks also to the GM and FOM for leading such a caring and dedicated team. I’m sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names, but please know that every single team member made our stay special. We can’t wait to be back again soon!

We stayed at Canareef Resort Maldives for 3 weeks, and it was without a doubt one of the best vacations we have ever had. Our goal was simple – pure relaxation and great diving – and Canareef delivered far beyond expectations. We stayed in a Premium Beach Villa with Whirlpool (Sunset), which was absolutely wonderful – spacious, private, and with the most beautiful sunset views right from our terrace. The whirlpool was a true highlight, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every single day. The entire resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well cared for. You can really tell how much pride the staff take in keeping everything perfect. The staff are exceptional – always smiling, kind, and ready to help with anything. You genuinely feel welcome from the very first moment. The restaurant was a real surprise. We had all-inclusive, and the food was delicious, fresh, and varied throughout our stay. Everything was prepared with great attention to quality and hygiene, and we never once got tired of the buffet – even after three weeks! There’s also so much to do at the resort: - An excellent dive center with professional instructors and access to some of the most beautiful dive sites in the Maldives, suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. - Bicycles, tennis, gym, spa, yoga sessions, and several excursions and boat trips for those who want to explore more. - Or you can simply enjoy the long, peaceful beaches and the most relaxing atmosphere imaginable. Canareef Resort truly captures the essence of peace, nature, and genuine Maldivian hospitality. It’s a place where you completely unwind, recharge, and enjoy every moment. We will definitely come back – this resort is something truly special! 💙
