Bellevue Syrene

All the staff at the Bellevue Syrene were awesome! From the moment we arrived till the second we left we were treated like Queen and King! The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating

Absolutely spectacular experience! From the moment we stepped out of our car, we felt welcomed and celebrated. We were in town for a friends wedding and stayed with a few other couples. The staff were so sweet and accommodating - they really made the stay magical. The views are UNREAL. We vacationed all over the world and I’m not sure a view will beat this one! The weather was unfortunately not cooperative so we did not get to have lunch at the restaurant on property however those views were also beautiful! The art on the property is mesmerizing, you can get lost just looking around at all the unique pieces. I truly cannot recommend enough!

Stay for the atmosphere & experience, skip the hotel restaurant. The location and atmosphere at Terrace La Pergola are stunning — exactly what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Unfortunately, the service didn’t come close to matching the setting. We were a party of four, and two of us received our main courses over an hour before the others. We had to ask for a drink menu after ordering food, and overall the service felt inattentive and disorganized. When we brought it up, the waiter blamed a tech issue, and the host, Gaspare, was initially dismissive. They eventually comped a small dish, which we appreciated — but then told us they “don’t usually do that for groups who don’t hit our minimums.” That felt tone-deaf, considering we couldn’t order drinks until halfway through the meal and food came extremely late. Hard to keep energy and appetite — let alone spend more — with service this poor. Extremely disappointed in the way Gaspare handled the situation. For a 2-star Michelin experience, this was a huge letdown. Great view, but absolutely not worth the service headaches.

What a lovely hotel with helpful , happy and charming staff. Such a lovely experience from start to finish . A very pretty hotel , beautifully furnished downstairs lounge and our bedroom. The balcony restaurant has wonderful views over Sorrento Bay. The food is great. The pianist at breakfast a treat. The complementary snacks during the day very generous. We will return .

Gorgeous property. We stayed for 4 nights. Service was impeccable and professional from the gate security/greeter (Roberto), front desk (Roberta), concierge (Francisco), restaurant staff, to the cleaning staff (Happy). We will stay here again for sure!

Clean rooms with great view, restaurants staff can improve service with smile and greeting. We’ve stayed in Rome and Puglia/Seveletri region where staff and services were excellent (all 5 star stays), in comparison Bellevue was subpar. They had trouble getting the breakfast order correct each morning. The location and view were very good. Easy walk to fairy station or take the hotel golf cart ride.

My husband and I stayed at the gorgeous Bellevue Syrene in late October 2024. Our stay surpassed our wildest expectations. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, built right into the side the Sorrento’s Mediterranean cliffs. The view across the Gulf of Naples to Mt. Vesuvius is unsurpassed - staying here feels like you’re living in a dream. The food, service, and ambience were all perfection. We can’t thank the staff more for making our time in Sorrento so welcoming and memorable.

The old world Grand Tour experience came alive during the 2024 Holiday Season for us at the Bellevue, which was wrapped with small gestures of kindness by staff — from the welcome appero to the gift of domus olive oil after an offhand comment from my partner to the spectacular ‘Room with a View’ of Vesuvius — tied up in a bow by Claudio, who provided a personal tour of the seaside grotto, then a guided discussion of the objets d’art nestled in the nooks of this 1820’s gem, while we chatted beside a roaring fire in the sitting room conservatory. Sorrento itself is an absolutely postcard perfect beauty on the Mediterranean. The charming flourish was an electric vehicle transfer to our Amalfi - bound vessel from the carbon footprint-plastics conscious property. Ciao!

Everything is perfect! This hotel is the best of the best and I travel weekly.

My wife and I visited this lovely hotel at the end of October and we couldn't have been happier. Check in was swift. Staff was very friendly and most accommodating. Our view from our room was spectacular. I'm not 100% what the hotel capacity was, however it didn't appear super busy and would have been nice if we could have been upgraded, but not going to quibble too much. Our bed was very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and good sized. The artwork on property is wonderful and the common areas are warm and inviting. Morning breakfast was lovely and the piano during breakfast was soothing. The hotel was within walking distance to everything...quick and easy. I will definitely consider Bellevue Syrene for our next stay to Sorrento.
