Rodeway Inn Moriarty

Hotel clerk made it clear that she prefers me to book directly with the hotel and not go through Expedia. She started off a bit rude by complaining they have to pay Expedia fees when Expedia does nothing but collects commissions. She ended my last part of booking with her with ID and credit card verification a bit nicer. I did like that the room I stayed in was room entrance in the hall of hotel and not from the outside.

The only thing we didn't like was the strange smell in the lobby like a combination of cleaning products and food. Staff friendly and didn't balk when we asked for extra pillows.

This is a nice motel, it is very clean and the staff is very accommodating! Very quiet and safe!

The room was not equiped for eating in room as required by Covid 19 social distancing.

My GPS put the motel location five miles west of where it actually was. not the first time that's happened in Moriarty New Mexico. Happened with a super 8 and I stayed at as well. But that was very frustrating. Also, I could not find the motel phone number. Their website doesn't readily show it so as I was trying to find the phone number I found the motel by accident. Not sure if the address shown on their website matches where they actually are. Again, I'm not sure. Somebody needs to work on GPS location.

The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke - pillows, bedding, too. Extremely disappointing. I was happy to checkout.

Clean. Convenient off the highway. Courteous check in.

Wasn't the best room ever it was pretty nasty cuz that was it look like it was either paint or something all over the place or it was blood I don't know it just wasn't coming off we tried we cleaned out the tub ourselves it wasn't that great they need to be cleaner they have to because of the fact that people won't want to go back if they are in that area again ever

Would never stay there again. The clerk was going to put me in a smoking and I told her I don't smoke so I was put into nonsmoking. The remote on tv was terrible had to push each number to get a station. The toilet was so low I thought I was on the floor. The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were so hard. I was up all night. I couldn't open window so I had to keep the loud fan blowing all night. On top of it the people above me were noisey. The atmosphere was depressing. The breakfast a joke. They offered unhealhy cereals and a small sweet roll that was old. I don't recommend staying here unless you don't care about the above I mentioned.
