"Comfy and huge rooms"

10.0

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. I really enjoyed the panoramic view on all the city, the huge room, the comfy beds, the well furnised bathroom with a western shower, and the balcony. The food at the restaurant is also quite good and cheap. The district is not so touristic, so it's more authentic with a Cambodian spirit. I recommand this place!

"dirty sheets, worthless staff"

4.0

Pretty terible. Our sheets were stained and smelly, and when I went to check the mattress for bed bugs I found two pairs of ladies underwear under the mattress. It was clear the sheets weren't even changed. Though we requested a non smoking room it smelled like smoke all night from neighboring rooms. Very noisy as well. I also believe we may have mistakenly paid for a night in Lucky Star 2 but stayed in the original Lucky Star, which the worthless staff did nothing to rectify. Every question Iasked them they didn't know an answer, even as simple as where laundry can be done. Only redeeming factor is the proximity to a mall with a supermarket and good aircon. With the cheap hotels you can book nearby I'd recommend going elsewhere.

"Large clean rooms"

6.0

The location is not the greatest and the service is a bit lacking. The "business center" was a computer on a table and the internet was down the whole time we were there (while the front desk was using internet on their computer 5 feet away). If you just need a nice, big, comfortable and cheap room this certainly fits the bill. Far off the tourist path, definitely a more local vibe with a very busy produce and fish market surrounding it.

"You get what you pay for..."

4.0

Room hadn't been cleaned when I arrived so I had to go back down from the eighth floor to get another one. Room was basic but good enough for the money. It looked like it had never been cleaned properly but there were no bedbugs or cockroaches so I didn't let that worry me too much. I was woken at 5:30am by the television from another room echoing down the corridor and when I telephoned down to reception to ask if they could take care of it, they just put the phone down on me. I had asked for an alarm call as I had an early bus to catch, luckily I didn't need it because they didn't call me. Perhaps they thought that since I was already awake from the deafening volume of someone else's TV, that it wouldn't be needed... All in all, I was only there for one night so I didn't get too stressed about the hotel but I would have cancelled my booking if it were for a longer stay. One last thing, the hotel is miles from anything that you need so be prepared for lengthy and pricey tuk-tuk or motodop rides everytime you want to leave the hotel as this can son add up if you're not careful. In fact, once you factor this time and money into the overall price of the hotel, you have to ask whether it really is that cheap...

"Spacious clean rooms"

I had a very comfortable stay.... massive rooms, very effective aircon, over all a very satisfying experience. The reception staff is very cordial & helpful.Only blot is the immediate surrounding at the entrance lane... else its ok.

"Old parking garage turned into hotel"

6.0

This hotel is quite spacious and seemingly offers hundreds of rooms in a large, high-rise building. The rates were very reasonable and there was a security guard at all times on our floor of the hotel. The room itself was large and there was a shower stall in the bathroom. The television worked well and it was a safe place to stay. Nearby the hotel are various wedding halls with formally dressed Cambodian men and women, even in the mornings! This hotel is centrally located in Phnom Penh and there are always tuk-tuk drivers waiting outside the entrance of the hotel to take you wherever you wish to go. The pink toilet paper was pretty funny, but the restaurant in the morning was overpriced (by Cambodian standards) and not very good.

"Excellent value, almost 4 star hotel!"

8.0

We booked this place as it was cheap and we didn't expect much. But it turned out to be almost 4 star hotel. The rooms are huge, clean, with cable TV, the views from the 9th floor were our room was are amazing. You can get a hostel for that price (and standard) in Phnom Penh. Hostels downtown are loud, while this one was peacefully quiet. There is a restaurant now downstairs, but if you venture outside there are locals stores, fruit and veggie market, 10min walk to shopping mall with plethora of restaurant upstairs. There is also a supermarket. There are lots of offices of the bus companies in proximity so east to get on bus to other Cambodian destinations. It's a tuktuk ride to the centre, but for that price it's worth it. We actually walked few times, though it isn't the easiest walk. Don't mix it up with Lucky Star 1, which is on the same street but surrounded with wedding restaurants, therefore loud.
