Lucky Star 2 Hotel

This is probably a new hotel. Rooms are really huge. My room had a king and a queen bed - enough for a family of 4. But this hotel is about the room only. There is no intercom, you can't contact front desk, and even if you do - they cant help much. The hotel is atleast 15 minutes away from riverside by tuk-tuk. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants etc in the nearby area, and none in the hotel. I had a tough time in the morning - could not even get hot tea / coffee, leave aside breakfast. This hotel is for you if you need a really big room. Otherwise better to stay near riverside.

Nice hotel,comfortable..quiet n clean..facilities was excellent..only 15 usd per night..complimentary of 2 bottle of mineral water everyday..near to city mall shopping centre..just by walking distance..for muslim/islam people,not recommended to stay this hotel as it is a bit far to go to halal restaurant..around 3-4 kilometre..need to use tuk-tuk..other than this this is the best place to stay in phnom penh..aircond is good..hot shower also good and well maintained..tv LCD 32" with almost 50 channel..nice view from hotel room..the receptionist also seems to be friendly and helpful..i would rate this hotel for 90% leaving 10% behind due to no hair dryer in the room..i hope they will improve..

Hotel not fully ready . No breakfast. Not a great location from a tourist perspective. Sweet helpful staff though. Clean, large comfortable rooms. Great cooling. Great number of tv channels. Very reasonable rate at present . 2900 rupees for 3 nights.

We have staying before and always come back. I only wish the had a mini-mart of basic supplies.

Good: Modern building, great elevators, large and clean rooms, staff generally quite helpful to the extent that they can help, pretty safe place in general. The staff could help you out with basic stuff but only one of them could have a fluent conversation in English. She was lovely. Bad: Only 2 of 6 staff members I met speak basic English, internet was very unpredictable (they solve this pretty quickly, but still it crashed for hours 3x in 3 days).There's a big contrast between the hotel and the poverty in the rest of the street, but that counts for every other hotel too. I am the one who should be adapting, not the locals in the streets. Overall the place is decent but I think there's better value to find. Mainly because breakfast is not included.

Our stay in this hotel was brief, we stayed for one night on 18th July 2013. Our room was comfortable and big in size. The hotel seemed to be a distance away from most places such a basic coffee shop to get a cup of coffee. We could buy take away bottled water in the hotel. Hotel did not serve any drinks or food. It's a decent hotel but it's out in the middle of nowhere! There are no amenities close by for English speakers or western's. Staff were lovely but I got the impression they were not used to dealing with western people and had very poor english.

Rooms were nice enough and clean enough, however the staff were very unhelpful and the location was terrible. Now where near any restaurants or attractions.

The room I got was spacious. Pretty clean. Nothing much to complain about. Just that they didn't have wifi in the room. It's located near the City Mall which is about a 10 minute walk. All in all, pretty ok.

Overall I was satisfied...room was cleaned every day. No major problems with the room, however, we did have problems with maintenance not repairing a faulty shower head in another room in our group. Relatively quiet on the upper floors. Front desk was helpful. A/C worked great!
