Location, friendly staff

Very close to the road (room 8). Small tv. Net curtain torn. No heating available. No hot water on the sink.

Good location, we've stayed before, clean and comfortable.

Ask for a fan during recent heatwave, a flat 'no' was the response. We had to have the window open with traffic from the A38 hurdling past less than 10 feet from our room, little sleep was had!

It was cheap. The location suited us.

There was no hot water.

The staff were so helpful because there was a mix up with the booking (my fault) and they were great. Nice pub food. Then staff were extra helpful when I thought I had left my wash bag in bathroom (turned out I hadn’t) So they put up with my inefficiency very well!!!

My experience at The Swan was excellent from start to finish. The room was Great —clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Food was Great ! What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was welcoming, supportive, and genuinely eager to help. I needed to extend my stay unexpectedly, and they handled it with patience and understanding, making the whole process smooth and stress‑free. I couldn’t have asked for better service. I’d happily stay again. 😁
