Privacy and peace. The good balance between Chinese and western style

Sadly this was during a covid outbreak but the staff were very helpful and got us to the airport in time. The studio room was massive and very clean. The pool is big enough for all guests. Breakfast is yummy!

Check in is a bit slow with only one.person working.

Private beachfront location, easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and convenience stores. A short taxi drive to busier parts of Sanya. Buffet breakfast was fresh and the opening times were generous- up to 10:30am.

Tired and dated- in need of a refit. Property advertises DVD player and iPod dock… seriously, in 2022? For the record, there was no DVD player in my room and the iPod dock is for an iPhone 5 phone. Very little English spoken by staff and this to some comes across as rude when they simply walk off because they don’t understand or they are possibly illiterate and could not read the translators. Not many vegan, non-diary options for guests… only had milk and a warm Chinese soy milk to drink for breakfast. Room service is not 24 hours as advertised- it finishes around 10:30pm, so if you come in around 1am from your flight, you have to order from an external delivery service. Also, one night when I did order room service around 6:00pm, I could not order a cheesecake dessert with my meal as I was told the cook goes home at 6:00pm. No pool service… not once did any staff ask any guests would they like something to eat or drink from the bar…even though 4 staff would be standing around doing nothing. Bed was comfortable and the towels were changed daily. Accessories in the bathroom were replaced daily as well. The shower and bath areas were chipped, mouldy and definitely need to be replaced. Balcony area is spacious and I had a lovely view. I get the impression the hotel was once part of a larger chain (Anantayra) and broke away- hence the lack of upgrade of facilities and poor staff training. The price of the room per night is reasonable but this hotel is not a Western 5-star hotel- 4 stars at most. If staff were trained properly, the hotel would definitely raise its standards and has the potential to be a fabulous hotel. If I wasn’t travelling with a group, I would not have chosen this hotel.

Some areas could do with an upgrade. The pool bar was closed and no one was taking orders at the pool- a lot of money could've been made there!

Stunning property, gorgeous location, friendly staff, quiet and private. It’s the only resort with beach beds.

The spa wasn’t yet open nor the Thai restaurant which was a disappointment.

The staff is very accommodating. They will try and solve any issue you may have, and will find someone to help if they can't directly. The villas are very well designed and private. Location and price of the hotel are fantastic! Great place for couples or friends, not necessarily for families.

A minor issue, but something as large as the villas should include a Nespresso station or something similar in the room.
