Hotel Europäischer Hof Hamburg

It is so sad that such a nice hotel with great facilities is spoilt by such poor customer service. Far too many things to cover from check in to lack of shower gel in the room to abysmal service at breakfast. This has the potential to be the best hotel in Hamburg, but everytime its let down by abysmal service.

Everything was perfect. My room was ready, luggage storage no problem, fantastic breakfast and bonus fitness facilities

The sap is the most wonderful thing in Hamburg. It's free to all hotel guests. I wouldn't think of booking anywhere else.

Location. Free lrt train ticket. Halal easy to find

Room initially allocated was small with a small bathroom and a separate shower which was dark and uninviting. subsequently 'upgraded' to a renovated room, which was much more comfortable, but the 'king size' bed was in fact 2 single beds placed together. Not very appropriate for a romantic stay! However, breakfast was excellent and the pool is wonderful.

Lovely spa had a great massage, shame no air con but fine for two nights good location very handy for airport and train also was given free train ticket to airport.

The best feature of this hotel is its proximity to the Hamburg Central Train Station. The breakfast is also spectacular. The rooms are a bit strange and offer little comfort but they are clean and everything is available there. All in all it's a 4 star **** hotel.

Excellent breakfast. Shame the sauna didn't open at 7:00. Jacuzzi out of action too.

Great location, but the layout in the room little unusual. A big TV unit is very close to the bed and disturbs the circulation around the room. Shover is tiny. The shower curtain keeps sticking to you. King size bed made from two separated bed and its keep detaching during your sleep and wake you up. If you ask a question about which taxi app you should use in Germany, they don't know the answer, and they even don't bother to ask even their colleagues in reception. They are ok to live you without a solution. Pushing them would get you somewhere, surprisingly you would not expect that from a hospitality business. They also have a good breakfast.
