Hotel Europäischer Hof Hamburg

Room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was fantastic. The location was super convenient for both bus and train stations. Will definitely stay again in my next visit to Hamburg!

We stayed 2 nights at the Europaischer Hof and what a delightful surprise. The concierge made a huge difference in our stay thanks to his restaurant recommendations and his precise details about the different hop on/hop off bus tours and the different boat tours. Extremely helpful! The included breakfast was very good—plentiful water, tea, coffee and many choices of food: fruit, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, and to order omelettes, waffles. Very well done with helpful wait staff. And the location can’t be beat: just outside the central rail station. And many places are within walking distance (although the subway is right there, too): Art museum, main square, pedestrian shopping streets, a lively restaurant street behind the hotel. The room was nicely sized, with windows that we could open to enjoy some fresh air. While a large hotel, it was very quiet. Our only small complaint is that the shower stall was on the small size. Definitely a good value and we would certainly go again.

The single biggest complaint was that the beds were too soft and the area (by the Train Station) was very noisy.

Our rooms were nice but the beds were very soft and small. Basically 2 x 90cm beds pushed together. The bathroom was nice and so was the breakfast. Luckily the weather was cold so no air condition wasn’t needed.

Overall nice stay, friendly staff and very good breakfast. Late check out. The only negative thing for me was no tea/coffee maker in the room.

Excellent

In the very centre of the city. Quiet, even though just accross the main station. On check-in, you get a free public transport ticket for your entire stay. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, complimentary water bottles waiting. Wifi signal is excellent. Breakfast delicious; omelettes made to order and nice selection of teas. Staff at the reception super friendly (met our request for late check-out). Definitely my hotel of choice when in HAM.

Great location, great service, great food and super friendly

The hotel offers good service and a central location. Beds are comfortable (standard plus room). We were not told, that the spa would be closed during the stay. No AC and very noisy towards the train station during the night. Consider asking for rooms facing otherwise if you want to sleep with the window open.
