The George Hotel

Found the photos of the room was not what we received toilet dirty and stained shower black mould carpets in public area and room dirty it was the worse hotel I've stayed in in the uk

The George is not fancy nor it trying to be. Good basic room and en-suite. Would be happy to stay there again.

By far the worst supposed hotel i have ever stayed in, there was no food available at all, parking was available only if you have a micro car to fit through the lane, theroom was averge and thats being generous, the shower had clearly NEVER been cleaned. There was no one available at check out the whole place was locked up so i just walked out. The only positive element i could find was leaving the place.

As an affordable room for an overnight stay it was more than adequate. The room had all l needed and the bed was very comfortable. Be aware that the pub is lively until midnight on Saturdays and noise will be a problem for some. Contrary to the website food is not available at any time so expect to go out for an evening meal and breakfast. The two members of staff that l met were very nice and very helpful. I would certainly stay again .

Stay was fine all staff friendly and helpful but had to leave early because of family problem. But would stay here again

Staff great, building old and lots of character, room just what was required.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Room needed an update. Headboard was so wobbly had to put a pillow between bed and to stop it banging everytime you moved. Shower leeked. Cup had teas stains in the bottom where dirty spoon was stuck to it. It was the only open pub in the village so was very noisy with arguments spilling on to the street outside our window. Know one there on checkout to air our grievances.

Friendly staff on arrival vaule for money .only thing i didnt really like was not en suite had to go along corridor for our private bathroom
