The George Hotel

Room was ok, two single beds with lovely clean white sheets, towels and ample toiletries. Good selection on tea tray with bottled water and biscuits. However shower very noisy and only produced a dribble of cold water ! This happened in the evening and following morning.

There was air conditioning or air source heat pump going the best part of the night, so I only got half a nights sleep before a business engagement early next morning.

Perfect for our needs, which was dog friendly accommodation with the minimum of fuss. A continental style breakfast was available to order at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Dated rooms but very clean, with tea/coffee facilities and TV. Bathroom and toilet just down the hallway. Excellent welcome on arrival and very friendly staff and hotel/pub users.

Great place. What let it down badly was noise. I know its a pub and you expect noise, but you dont expect the pub to be full and band still playing at midnight. The band itsslf although not too bad, bass player was absolute garbage at a tiny step ahead of the drummer which annoyed me further. Do licensing laws not apply in Gloucestershire??? By the time the pub goers left it was 12.35. Shame as the pub is beautiful in a great location. Lovely room with separate private bathroom. If youre planning a trip, bear in mind that you could be kept awake longer than necessary.

Excellent price, Good bar. On street parking. Room comfy clean and restfull. Pleasant helpfull staff. Looking forward to future stays

Clean and comfortable stay, friendly staff and good value

Stay was comfortable with no issues. Hotel is dated but was aware of this. Overall very nice.
