Summerlands Guest House

The owner was very helpful and the hotel was very welcoming and clean. The breakfast was good and the beds were very comfortable. The room was on the small size for a family room but it was great for a couple of nights. The location was 10 mins from the beach.

The room was in the attic so quite hot and we needed the windows open day and night, which unfortunately meant that there was a lot of traffic and other noise which disturbed our sleep. This is obviously no fault of the owners and will apply to all hotels on the road. In cooler weather this may not be an issue.

Lovely proprietor/staff, very attentive. Clean, comfortable guesthouse/rooms. Breakfast offered. Some on street parking available close by. Nice little seating area at the front of the guesthouse.

A little noisy (creaky floorboards and noisy road - when windows are open). Lots of rules, including takeaway foods not allowed in the rooms.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were extremely nice, welcoming, and always ready to help in any way they could. They also provided useful information about nearby attractions, which was very helpful.

The room was quite small and not very suitable for three people. There was no dining space, the cupboard was very small, and there wasn’t enough room for luggage. Ventilation was also lacking, which made it difficult given the weather. However, the hosts were kind and thoughtful enough to provide us with a fan to help, which we really appreciated.”

Nick and his wife Jayne were very friendly and polite, extremely helpful.

Rooms are much smaller than looks in the photos.Wodden bed frame not a great option on a quite tight space.Kitchen/dinning area was locked,only have acces at breakfast time,then stays locked.

An exceptionally clean guest house which suited us very well for a family event. Rooms were well equipped & the bed comfortable. Parking was no problem during the day or night on the next streets. Nick was a great host, we would recommend staying here

The location is great, only a 5-minute walk from the sea. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. We arrived an hour later than expected, but Nick was still waiting for us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it.
