The White House Guest House

Lovely big room overlooking field. Large garden area and beautiful planting. Easy access to Penrith for places to eat and village pubs. Lounge area added bonus. Comfy beds.

We didn't realise two driveways and we came in the one with an awkward turn where temporary traffic lights. Once we saw there was a wider driveway we used that one. Some traffic noise.

Very welcoming and very clean and tidy, also allowed me to place my motorbike in the garage.

A first class traditional B&B with a proper cooked bfast and all the accompaniments. Decent sized towel in the bathroom - why do so many places give you something little better than a handkerchief? Nice old buildings with wooden beams but fully modernised in very nice grounds with plenty of parking. Met on arrival and greeted properly. Again something which is lacking in many places these days. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Need an evening meal? Short walk to the local pub. I didn't eat there but other guests at the B&B did.

Breakfast was superb with lots of choice.

A little more heating would have been good. It was fine in the evening but not first thing in the morning.

Clean, spic and span and very good host!

Pru met us at the front door and was so welcoming. Even in the middle of storm Dave.

Excellent host , lovely room and fantastic hot breakfast and the nicest bowl of fruit iv had at a hotel
