The service at the restaurant and the food were excellent. If you're looking for something quiet, then this is excellent.

The gym is run-down, the rooms are dated, and the pool and other facilities are old. For the cost, this isn't worth it. If you're looking for modern, this isn't the place to go. You're also a good 20 minutes away from anything.

Wunderschöne Oase an der Lagune von Negombo. Das Zimmer und auch das Bad waren sehr geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Der 100 m lange Pool war ein Traum. Das Essen im Restaurant war köstlich und man hat einen schönen Blick auf die Lagune. Der Wellnessbereich kann auch sehr empfohlen werden, die Massage war hervorragend.

This hotel is an artwork. We chose this purposefully for relaxation amidst the quiet splendour of Negombo Lagoon. Its a convenient location for those flying to and from distant destinations. Also great for locals looking for a change from the Colombo scene. Beautifully appointed copious rooms brimming with Geoffrey Bawa 's indoor outdoor fluidity. All rooms come with a  bath; you can appreciate the blue tropical skies and swaying trees relaxing in the bubble bath. No plastic water bottles here. Instead glass bottles. Real fresh milk at the tea station. Traditional roof tiles, open spaces, shady walkways, naturally ventilated pathways, peaceful avenues and vistas abound. Don't forget to take a moment to admire the jaw dropping roof at the entrance porch. The 100m length swimming pool is frankly unbelievable...we've never seen a swimming pool this long in a hotel.  Very tiring to swim a length unless you are an Olympic athlete!  Wellness Centre staff offer ayuvedic massage and doctor consultations. Yoga and meditation in the morning for those interested. Check out the Ceylon 1907 book at the hotel library.  Staff were professional efficient and friendly. A gold star to Theresa at the reception who arranged rapid solutions to all our special requests. Nikitha,  Malindu, and all younger staff members of the restaurant are a tribute to the hotel, serving with charming enthusiasm. We will definitely return.
