Chaweng Tara Hotel

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They even gave me a lift to the gym on the first day I got here and organized a scooter for me. I had to extend my stay due to covid and they were more than happy to accommodate and make sure I had everything I needed. It's good value for money as it's quite a bit cheaper than other accommodation in the area and the rooms are spacious, include water and coffee and a fridge and are cleaned thoroughly every day.

It is located in front of a busy road so it does have a lot of traffic noise. It bothered me at first but by the second day I never really noticed it. It is an old building so quite dated but that comes with the cheaper price so it's justified.

Everything was good, the room is big. Many thanks to the owner who helped us move around the island.The beach is just across the road . Lovely little cafe is next door with decent menu.

The most perfect hosts , with a great stay. Couldn’t recommend this place more for the price. Would 100% stay again. The owner went out of his way to help us get into town and we were so grateful. Very caring and couldn’t ask for more, thank you so much.

We stayed in Koh Samui for two nights and were just looking for a quiet place near the sea and Chaweng Tara was perfect for this! The rooms were large, clean and basic. The beach was no more than a 5 minute walk away which got the sun until about 3.30 in the afternoon. The family who run this hotel are all really friendly, with the owner dropping us to the airport for a small fee compared to local taxis!

Stayed here 27th December 2018 - 6th January 2019. The hotel is great value for money, clean and comfortable rooms. This is a small family run business and the owner and his family were so hospitable and genuinely lovely people who made our stay more pleasurable. We happened to be there at the time of the tropical storm Pabuk and they made sure we were kept up to date with what was happening and arranged some food to be cooked for us as we could not leave the hotel for a day. The only slight downside for me with this hotel is the busy road to cross to the beach (but it is a great beach with good bar and facilities) and the nightclub which generally finished at 5am and woke us up with people leaving. But this is no fault of the hotel and just worth noting. It is also nicely situated between Lamai beach and Chaweng.
