Hotel Angermeyer Waterfront Inn

Friendly staff, yummy breakfast menu included in room rate, helpful and attentive to help plan our day. The view from our room, southern cross, was outstanding… literally almost 360 views from bathroom all the way to the bedroom. Taking a water taxi to hotel from pier made the experience also very fun, but easy and not burdensome. We ate dinner one night on the dock patio bc the views r pleasant looking out at the harbor and other boats. So much wildlife right from the dock including little sharks feeding on sardines at night.. able to walk to a nearby beach too. so fun!

Angermeyer was the first of three hotels we stayed at during our trip and set the tone for our trip. Every single staff member was attentive and helpful, every single time we saw them. The rooms were large, clean, and offered a beautiful view. Food was excellent and I really can't say enough about the service. Every person there would greet you with such friendliness and offers to help with anything. When one of our group left her phone on the water taxi, they had it back in her hands in no time. We enjoyed the water taxis to get to the hotel, but be aware that you do have to take them if you want to go to the main shopping and restaurants in town. It never took more than 5 minutes wait, and probably 3 minutes to actually cross the channel. We loved seeing the baby sharks at the Angermeyer dock each night, and there are places to eat at the hotel and nearby (without a water taxi ride) that were very good options.

This hotel is located across the harbor, requiring water taxis to get there and back. This results in a very peaceful atmosphere compared to staying in the center of Puerto Ayora. The staff were all very friendly and the food was good. Since the hotel is not in the center of town, we chose to eat dinner here twice during our stay. The menu was extremely limited but we enjoyed the fish dishes we ordered. Our room had a nice harbor view but was in need of some updating. For example, there was only one available electrical socket in our room and it was located behind the desk. This room was obviously designed in a time when guests didn't bring many electrical devices. One thing we really appreciated was the hotel's laundry service which came in very handy halfway through our Galapagos trip. The service was very efficient and reasonably priced. This is a good place to stay if you're looking for a quieter, peaceful stay away from the town center.

Excellent - great ambiance with waterfront and bungalow rooms and foliage on the ground . Very accommodating and friendly staff and water taxi was convenient to have an oasis within reach of the town

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Angermeyer Waterfront but our visit was spoilt by a total lack of water supply to our room on the morning of our departure. We were unable to use any of the toilet or shower within our bathroom prior to leaving to catch the early morning ferry.

Lovely waterfront location to enjoy breakfast. The staff were welcoming and accomodating. You have to take a water taxi to and from the main pier of Santa Cruz which costs $1pp per way. The hotel area is quieter which is nice. Our room (Pelican) had issues when we flushed the toilet and used the tap the room would smell of sewage. There was also a lack of power outlets in the room. Food wise was very mediocre, breakfast was ok and dinner was average. The view is best thing about this hotel.

If you can't or don't want to spring for Finch Bay, I think Angermeyer is your BEST alternative. The location is perfect...in minutes you can walk to the beach or take a water taxi to town, but its away from the busy part of Santa Cruz. You can see sharks, rays, fish, and other animals swimming as you eat breakfast or dinner. The room is clean and spacious. The service was great. I was very glad we chose Angermeyer!
