Hotel Nilya - Special Class

Amazing location with access to wonderful restaurants as well as the Basilica of St. John. The staff was very helpful and friendly - they even drove us to the entrance to Ephesus! The vegetarian breakfast was tasty and bountiful. The whole experience was relaxing. I would definitely return again.

The breakfast was great with a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, jams and cheese. I have enjoyed it. The staff were kind and friendly.

There was no rubbish bin in the room. The internet connection was temperamental. It was not allowed to flush toilet paper away in the toilet. There were mosquitos in the room.

Wonderful hotel. Nice rooms, great courtyard, amazing breakfast and knowledgable and friendly owners and staff. Super helpful advice on where, when and how to get to the best sights (Ephesus at the top of this list) in the area. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

The room was small but it provided everything necessary. The shower was great.

The closet didn't allow to hang a shirt in full length and offered very little space.

I had a great stay in Selcuk. The breakfast was superb and I was given good advice on trains and things to do in the area. The decor of the hotel is excellent. Thank-you for a great stay. Nicholas

Staying at Nilya hotel was like staying with family.  We had some issues with our bus transport so we arrived at Selcuk at around 2 AM in the morning.  But Erdal and Namzi made sure that there was someone to open the gates for us and help us get settled in our rooms before checking in the next day.  The rooms were big and had authentic Turkish decor.  The beds were also big and comfortable.  Breakfast every day was delicious!  We had a choice on how to get the eggs cooked and coffee was always fresh.  There was Simit, all kinds of jams and all kinds of fruit.  The courtyard where breakfast was served was beautiful with all the native flowers and plants.  Namzi took the time to drive us to and from Ephesus and also arranged our transport to the House of the Virgin Mary.  We also got to tour Namzi's shop and even bought an authentic Turkish carpet at a reasonable price.  All in all, we greatly enjoyed our stay at Nilya hotel!  Thanks Erdal, Namzi and all your staff for your hospitality!

There was no hot water heater or refrigerator in the room. But it should be easy to check with the front desk if you need assistance with getting hot water or need something refrigerated.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner was kind enough to drive us to Ephesus. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. We enjoyed our short stay. Thank you
