Hotel Bella

We loved this hotel. The property is strategically located. It's close to the train station which we used to travel to Izmir airport. Trains are fast and comfortable as in any other European country. It's also close to: Ephesus Archaeological Museum, Isa Bey Mosque, Ephesus Museum, Temple of Artemis and many more. Inside the building the atmosphere is very cozy, the owners are on site making sure everything's running smooth and they have an very fine carpet/handcraft shop next to it. The carpets are certified and the handcrafts are from very well known Turkish artist. National Geographic guide lists the shop as a trustful place to shop genuine handmade Turkish carpets. The room we stayed at was tight and had no TV but we were ok with it. We spent very little time in the room. The terrace offered a great space to hangout, chill-out and have breakfast. You could spend the whole day here it wasn't for all the amazing sites the town has to offer.

Breakfast was great and the owner was very friendly. Room was small but clean. Wifi was very slow but is good to disconnect from the world sometimes =)

Pros If you like an authentic and rustic hotel then this is the place to stay. Fantastic location and genuinely friendly owners. They have a carpet shop down stairs. We had been all over Turkey looking for rugs and bought from here. Initially we walked out without buying, and no anger and resentment like you will get in 99% of carpet shops if you walk out....After looking around we couldn’t find the same quality for Bella’s price and we bought 3 rugs. Cons. The breakfast is eggs and fruit and bread. The beds are a bit hard. Overall we were very happy. Such nice people. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay here in a restored property. 5 min walk to town and the local market. Also a few minutes to the church ruins of John the Baptist and nearby fort. The owner drove us to the ruins at Ephesus and picked us up at the other end. This was a great service as Ephesus is 15-20 mins out of Selçuk. Hotel Bella a close walk from the bus and train station. Breakfast really nice here on the roof top. And the attached shop with rugs and ceramics were of a very high quality.

The manager was brilliant! Went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was basic but very comfortable. The location was fantastic. Exceptional value for money.

I would give the highest rating for the Hotel Bella but I have to be honest...the stayed in a economic room and it stinks a little bit. Maybe because of the carpet on the wall. We asked to change the room for another economic but the only option that they gave us was to change to a better room and pay more for it. They don't even let us see another economic room. BUT to be honest, the location is more than EXCELLENT, it's amazing! Also the breakfast, really really good. The terrace is a charming place and they let us stay there after out check in waiting for the time to leave. I would come back but in a better room. This is my recommendation for you.

A very nice, little hotel in the old town of Secuk. It has a unique atmosphere with extraordinary Turkish style furniture and artifacts. The people are very friendly, ready to help with anything you may need to make your stay very pleasant. The breakfast is freshly cooked and served on the top terrace with a beautiful view over the castle We stayed only one night but we hope to return.

I was very impressed with the service and friendlies of the owner and the staff. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Turkish folk art.

The hotel was Charming, filled with beautiful artworks, carpets, wall pieces. The hosts are knowledgeable, speak very good English and very helpful. The rooms were quaint and old fashioned with wood detail and traditional wall pieces. The terrace was magnificent as it provided a comfortable space that was light and breezy for relaxing, sipping hot tea, reading, napping or simply sitting and looking out to the view. The hosts were exceedingly friendly, supportive, and genuine. A family run business, it had that personal touch and intimacy. Something that is different from large hotels...At Bella if your not feeling well they will make you Sage tea and check up on you! Really lovely experience having lovely big breakfasts on the terrace. If you are looking for somewhere intimate, unique and with lots of character this is the place for you. It is also a no smoking hotel. I really appreciated this. You May want to spend a bit more money for a larger room, as with any small hotels the rooms can be small. However the terrace made up for it. Overall a wonderful experience.
