Peaceful, charming, gracious. Quiet. Sense of space with views of the hills of Tuscany.

Imagine a relaxing stay in the countryside with fresh, delicious Italian food, local wine, and excellent company...and, oh yeah, a refreshing pool overlooking the hills. Then you'll be at Torraccia di Chiusi. San Gimingnano and Sienna are fantastic, but be sure to plan a day or two just hanging out here and being reintroduced to life.

Wonderful old farm houses modernized and refurbished. Offered delicious homemade breakfasts. Had an excellent 4 night stay just outside the touristy town of San Gimignano. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Don’t miss strolling around the lake. Advise that you get precise directions as GPS is not always reliable.

Very nice accommodations in the center of Tuscany. The staff at the Torraccia were always friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent, including the nightly 5-course dinners that you can book separately and which make dinner plans for the day very easy. There are many trails around here to explore, and we wish we had booked more time to just wander around the area. Pro-tip: the also have filtered water and you can refill your bottles there for the day.

We had an excellent stay at Torraccia di Chiusi. You'll be staying in an older, refurbed building hundreds of years old, set on a farm. The breakfast was excellent and the opt-in 4 course dinner for $25 with apertivo right before was outstanding. Don't expect to know what you're getting as the team come up with it each day based on what they have to hand. We only had two minor issues with our room which was the air con and fridge. The fridge didn't work, but I'd suggest simply getting rid of it. The air con had a slight leak and didn't work but given we were at the end of the warmer weather didn't need it anyways, and I'm sure this will be rectified before the warmer weather returns. Run by a lovely family and team, I'd highly recommend this property.

This place is exactly what we wanted. Stunning views set in the Tuscan Hills with views of the towers of San Gimignano. We were in the Suite which was 2 rooms with the biggest and most comfortable bed you could imagine. The bathroom was lovely with a double shower. The pool was perfect for an afternoon swim to cool down as the weather was still hot and humid. The restaurant for dinner is a must for all. 5 courses - yummy ! The waitress- I can’t rememfer her name was so lovely and did a great job talking to the guests and explaining the food and wine available. Breakfast was great and a good variety. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary so my husband organised for a platter of cheese, bread and cold meats and red wine in a private setting in the gardens. Just amazing and special memories for us. Maria is a lovely host and ensured we were settled and had everything we needed. She offered advice on where to go and what to see. She told us the history of Torraccia di Chiusi and even gave us a tour of the wine cellar. Thank you so much we loved our visit and hope to return one day.

This bed and breakfast was exceptional! I highly recommend to anyone that wants to visit Tuscany to relax, sample delicious foods and wines and enjoy incredible landscapes/views. Everyone that worked on this property was so warm and welcoming towards us. Maria (who worked in reception) was especially kind to us and I wanted to give her a special thanks for upgrading our room and giving us a discount! We absolutely loved staying here and will be back again some day! Thank you for everything!
