CHKurt and his team (Henry, Domingo and Didier) went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From Henry calling out to Agressivo the Caiman, Domingos guiding on the trails and Didier going the extra mile to show us different birds right through to Kurt’s attention at the end of our stay. Antonello the manager was also great. And the bird life and other wildlife was just stunning.

AUperfect location at the jungle. good food as buffet. children are welcome too. reasonable prices considering to be in the middle of nowhere. tours were nice too, can recommend the night walk and caiman tour, haven’t done anything else. free Kanu at the lagoon. access to the lodge is not as difficult than thought. route 205 is fully sealed and last but unsealed but manageable by car.
as it’s a bird paradise, there will be photo tours and the viewing deck will have a lot of tripods and photographers starting to take photos from 5am. didn’t bother us as there is still plenty of room and other spots. we travelled with two small children and no one seemed to be annoyed (yeahhh)
USUSThe dinner was quite good but there was very little choice, I had expected more of a buffet but they had only one main and were really only catering to a tour group, not much attention to smaller parties.
Breakfast was not as good as I would have liked, no variety and nothing made to order, omlet was cold and not prepared as I would have liked. Not much choice for individuals.

GBGreat place for photographers! The staff members were extremely helpful and organised different activities for us. We also enjoyed our meals in the lodge - every meal was so delicious.
USif. You are a photographer with a giant lens who does not want to move off the deck thus is your place…orherwise go elsewhere. Good reviews reflect former fame as a birding destination. Food was bland and overpriced. Our room had no cross ventilation and was very hot. Trails were ankle deep mud. A large photo tour hogged all the deck space so we left everyday to visit other losges with better food and trails. Offered tours were more expensive than other lodges.
