Art Deco Masonic Hotel

Right in the heart of Napier. Beautiful Art Deco building in a town of similar buildings. Easy to walk to all areas of interest.

Not much to do other than look at the downtown area.

The character

The building was old world and a delight to be within. It was located immediately opposite the beach with the iconic black sand. Parking around the venue was easy.

The location was ideal , central in town but also by the sea front with stunning views from the veranda. The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Clean, with a comfortable bed and quality bed linen. A lovely hotel to come to if you want a special weekend away. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has two eatery places attached to the hotel which was ideal when you didn’t feel like going out. The KKitchen eatery offered good meals at reasonable prices. Staff were eager to please and friendly. I did not try the Irish pub there.

I found the room dark as the walls were painted a dark colour.

It was a unique hotel full of character. It was right in the centre of town close to everything. The staff were very helpful at both check in and check out. It was also great to have parking available

Beautiful hotel but let down by terrible food and reluctance to give a milk alternative for the room.
