Grand View Hotel

Lovely charming grand old hotel. We had a very large room. V comfy. We paid less and had a shared bathroom , down the hall. It was never a problem. Plenty of nearby cafés to walk to for excellent breakfasts. The hotel bar was open when we came home in the evening so we could have had a night cap. We have stayed here before and hope to stay here again.

No mirror in the bedroom. A bit of traffic noise, but it almost stops late at night.

Beautiful old charm hotel with a huge pub area downstairs full of families, couples and friends having dinner. Bedrooms were clean, had large modern bathroom, bedroom was just big enough for the queen bed and a side table for the kettle and fridge but it was all we needed for a one night stay.

That there was no reception. I had to get the room key from the bar employee in the pub and when we checked out at 8am, the pub was locked so there was no one to hand the key in to or a box to drop the key in so we left it in the room.

Room was smaller than expected.

Comfy beds , lots of room and a balcony

Vacuuming under the beds , bathroom needed a deep clean as the shower was gross and the floor was gross/dirty definitely need a better cleaner. Consider installing fans in the rooms as the aircon did not cool down the room and it got hot .

Wonderful staff and a great location right next to the station. Yes, the decor is a little bit old fashioned but i actually found it very homely and relaxing and perfect for a chill out place after a long Blue Mountain walk. All rounde dup wiht a really tasty fish and chips and pint in the bistro restaurant.
