Mantaray Island Resort

Mantaray Island Resort is a great place to stay at, it is a relatively small resort with a lot of young people, which makes it good to meet people during a volleyball game or around the pool. There are also a lot of other free activities such as snorkeling, stand up paddle, kayaking, getting a fresh coconut… The food was also really good and tasty, with a special shoutout to dinner! And the staff was very nice and lovely!

The beach could have been more white, in the sense that there was a lot of dead corals and wood along it. Even though the dinners were really amazing; on the Wednesday, there was a Fijian buffet and it was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t enough of every food for those guests that ate during the second round.

Can't say enough about Mantaray! I stayed here on a diving holiday, and had the best time! As a solo female traveller there were plenty of opportunities for activities and to meet other solo travellers. Huge thank you to everyone in the dive centre for some amazing dives (despite poor visibility due to the cyclone)! The food was tasty and there was lots of vegetarian choices. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all chosen off a menu of 3/4 options, dinner being a 3 course meal. The house reef and beach are well maintained and explained when you arrive at the island! I will be back :)

Mantaray is definitely one of the more expensive resorts, however I'd totally recommend checking it out!

Fabulous, stunning location. The island is just beautiful with the clearest water out the front of the villas. Snorkeling just out the front of the hotel was spectacular! Loved the outdoor bathroom in the villa and modern furnishings in the room. Very spacious - we had a portacot and the spare bed made up with plenty of room. Staff were amazing and very accommodating of our family.

The only negative is the food - not the greatest across our stay in Fiji. There needs to be more fresh options in the meal package - more fruit, salads, vegetables.

We had an amazing stay—not only because of the beautiful reef/ beach and delicious food, but most importantly because of the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The team worked tirelessly during Category 3 Tropical Cyclone Vaianu (April 6–8), and their proactive assistance and friendly support truly made all the difference. Despite the cyclone, we thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay. We would also like to recognize the following staff members who went the extra mile to make our stay especially memorable: Joji, Vika, MaiTai, Sava, Toko, Peti (Patrick), Manasa , Moira, Millie and Freddie. Die Angestellten sind soo so lieb und herzlich, man schließt richtige Freundschaften dort. Das ganze Resort ist auch sehr gemütlich, am Pool gibt es viele tolle Plätze. Ein absolutes Highlight ist das Hausriff, unfassbar viele Korallen und Fische. Absolutes Muss für alle Fiji-Reisenden 🌴

Einziges Manko: Sitzauflagen am Pool müssten mal getauscht werden. Sind teilweise etwas durchgelegen

Location is perfect .island looks beautiful

There is no information provided upfront t about transport to the resort Baskc information about ferry transfers schedules and costs would help. The last Ferry from from the main Island d to the resort leaves in the morning and it is the only one That i only realized after I had made my booking g. When I tried to cancel my check in date I was not lowed to due company policy. The cancellation policy for bookings ito the resort is inflexible. Whilst on the island we were notified of the suspension of ferry back to main island a d advised yo board the next available ferry which was leaving immediately other wise would have been stuck on the island and missed my flight. So even though I had paid for 4 nights at the resort. I only effectively stayed one night a day due to the refund policy the resort refused yo refund me. So co.ing I. 'I had yo book extra account.midation because I arri ed after the last ferry had departed around 0 am. And after the first night I also had to forfeited 2 nights stay and pay for extra acco.modztion at the main Island.
