Montagu Springs Resort

Stayed at the Villas which look like they are due for an upgrade/update(?). Even so - the accomodation was very spacious and clean with good Aircon and decent WiFi. Comfy beds and good showers, walking distance to cold and small hot pool.

Perhaps access to Avalon Springs could be included in the booking price ?

Bathroom need to be upgraded. Only one hot pool for the entire place. Airfryer needed.

I liked the location, we had the house on top of the hill. It was nice, clean and comfortable. We liked that we were not disturbed throughout our stay by anybody, which was nice because it felt like we were secluded.

The path up to the house was blocked off(stairs) which made us have to climb a steep hill. We did not like that the house had the twin bedroom(atleast give an option to change it from trin to double at guest request)

I loved the homey feeling of the place I stayed in, it was spacious, clean, peaceful and relaxing. The cold pool was nice and clean, the security was very assuring and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The fact that there wasn't a heated pool close to my area, the only one heated pool made was quite a distance from my chalet. Old broken cupboard in the kitchen, and bedrooms. The maintenance of this kind of home could do some work.

We had a lovely stay at Montagu Springs and really enjoyed the pools. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable visit.

Check-in was delayed even after 15:00 as our key was not ready, which was frustrating after already waiting. I also never received a response to my request for an earlier check-in.

Bed was not comfortable

Front desk staff was friendly and maintenance staff responded quickly. The location and setting beautiful and close to town and leisure activities.

The property harassed me to make direct payment to them even though I made full payment to booking.com more than a month in advance. They had a problem tracing the payment and made me feel uncomfortable with numerous requests to make payment and expected me to liaise with booking.com to sort them out. The property is outdated, not well maintained with damaged cupboards, old carpets, broken and missing blinds and toilet plumbing blockages. Villas were not equipped with an iron: they only have 2 irons to share amongst all accommodation units. Price point not worthwhile for state of facilities and amenities. Wild baboon troops gained access to the resort by our accommodation villas. The perimeter fence with barbed wire is ineffective and seemingly electric fence is not working or does not serve as a deterant.
