Great room, great pub and eatery, made to feel very welcome by Gavin the landlord and a great breakfast, will definitely book again if in the area.

Fantastic stay, delicious dinner & breakfast. Very clean, homely and spacious rooms.

Stopped here for 1 night on business, and would definitely stop again. Nice food and drink, and great surrounding views.

Hotel and room were lovely.Food excellent. The room lovel y beautiful furniture. Bathroom a great letdown .Sink was so small it was unusable. Bath had a shower over .This was very difficult to access.as it had nothing to hold on to to get in .On the I would recommend the Anchor .Very busy and a beautiful building .The service could have been. better.

Not too pleased about dog in eating area and occasionally on seats, otherwise eating area OK and evening meal good, as was the selection of food and drinks. Bedroom OK although probably better suited to a double rather than a twin, clean, tidy with sufficient towels and soaps in the bathroom. Ordered early breakfast at an agreed time but staff cooking it did not know.

Nice clean and comfy room,with nice veiws of the moors,nice selection of meals,and very affordable,with very friendly staff making your stay overall very good
