The room had been cleaned well and in good condition

The room (7) was extremely noisy until guests left the dining area (just before 11pm). The sound insulation was extremely poor. The quality of the food was shocking. After arriving early I had fish and chips for lunch the first day, both the fish and the chips had been overcooked, the fish batter to the extent that it was not edible. The fish was replaced, but then the batter was very thin and undercooked. The following morning I had smashed avocado on granary bread with poached egg (which was included in the room rate, but would have been just under £16 otherwise). The bread was thin and very low quality, the avocado looked old and like it had been sliced days ago (as it had turned dark brown and seemed almost rotten) and the poached egg seemed low quality and had been over cooked. I skipped breakfast the following day! We ate elsewhere on all other occasions.

The location was great.Staff are really friendly. Easy check-in and out. The room was very large, and the bathroom was good size . Good size shower cubicle. King size bed was comfortable. Nice to have a sofa in the room. Came with drink facilities in the room. The hotel was lovely, a nice bar area, and good large beer garden, lots of seating. Hotel offers breakfast and evening meals in a nice environment. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel due to another plans. The The location was quiet.

The only things that were negative were the bed sheets were stained. A little more attention to detail on cleaning.. The shower water temperature does fluctuate, but not much of a problem. We would stay again, but would check the sheets and get them changed if needed.
