We were genuinely blown away by this resort for our first trip to the paradise which is the Maldives. From the moment we set foot on this small and beautifully proportioned island (small but never feeling overcrowded - even at peak occupancy), we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Our overwater villa was much bigger than we anticipated, including a wonderfully sized bathroom (with the addition of a freestanding bath) and king-size bed. The housekeeping staff (notably Hasan) ensured our villa was kept impeccably clean and well-stocked for everything we needed, with some lovely surprises to greet us. The view from our deck was outstanding and we were impressed by just how close - and just how many of - the coral reefs there were. Judging from the lack of signs of damage to the coral, it was evident that people respect the beauty of the natural habitat. Special mention must go to Fittey who kindly took me out (without me needing to ask) on two separate snorkelling experiences. The first time was particularly amazing as we saw a family of turtles! For the second outing, Fittey took me for a snorkel of the best of the house reefs. Bearing in mind this was my first time of ‘proper’ snorkelling, I felt totally at ease and had every faith that Fittey was keeping an eye on me, while at the same time able to take in the experience. Judging from my experience and that of other guests, it is evident that Fittey is a real asset to the resort. Other staff that deserve a special mention include: Sherry - $40 (typically our waiter for the restaurant’s plentiful and varied buffet) who could not do enough in serving us and showed a genuine interest in making time to converse; Amil - $25 and Shiva - $25 of the Aqua bar; Ajith - $25 of the Coral bar and Caphansa - $20 and Mini - $20 on reception (who always greeted us with a smile), along with Gracy - $20 whose comm’s were incredibly efficient pre-arrival.

We absolutely loved our time at Centara and wished it was longer! The Club overwater villa was a dream. Spotless and welcoming, a huge thank you to Mr. Amanulla and the team for ensuring we had everything we could need. We loved having our own pool and snorkeling straight from the villa where we saw nurse sharks, white tips and an abundance of sea life. The food was lovely in the restaurants and the buffet was good too. Access to the club was also a special touch and perfect for a quiet breakfast.

There are only two reasons this isn't a 10/10. First, the hotel is pricey and we felt it would be a nice touch to offer guided snorkeling, at least once per stay free of charge. To ensure everyone sees the best of what the reef offers. Second, the seaplane, we only took this one way and it was delayed. I know this isn't the hotels fault but it does take away from the experience as you are often asked to leave your room early for a plane that is delayed. For the price, you want to enjoy your room to the last possible minuite. All that being said we would definitely stay again :)

😍🐠 it was magical to wake up in our over-water villa, grab a mask and snorkel, and jump out directly into a beautiful, thriving coral reef filled with SO many tropical fish. We even saw a sea turtle in the reef outside our room. A magical experience. 🍽️ The two restaurants onsite were delicious, particularly the Thai restaurant. I also was impressed with the breakfast buffet — plenty of options and a beautiful seaside setting. 💌 The staff were all super attentive and we felt well taken care of. Housekeeping twice a day was a dream! It was magical to come back to a clean room at any hour of the day. Hasan who cleaned our room was our favorite employee! Thank you Hasan for taking such good care of us! 🏝️ The island itself is beautiful. Turquoise water. Beautiful palm trees. Teeming coral reef. It was paradise. 🛩️ Arrival and departure by sea plane was a really fun and memorable experience.

📱 There’s an app that they have you use to book lunch and dinner at the restaurants. It’s annoying to use, doesn’t show all availability, and we generally had to ask the front desk to help us book. 🤿 The snorkel gear that’s included was of low quality, and every mask we received was broken — even when we tried to swap them out. I’d recommend bringing your own mask at least. The snorkel and flippers were fine.

Posizione perfetta, mare da sogno, barriera corallina a due bracciate. Struttura pulita ed accogliente. Staff cordiale e disponibile, ottimo anche per chi, come noi viaggiava con due bambini piccoli. Ottimi servizi in generale e per chi ne ha bisogno, babysitting. Cucina buona e varia

Francamente mi aspettavo ci fosse più frutta esotica, anche durante la giornata come merenda.. Però é anche vero che la posizione dell’isola non permette di avere tanta frutta perchè tutta di importazione.

ottimo ristorante buffet, migliorerei il sistema di prenotazione dei ristoranti Tailandese e Italiano, infatti è stato difficile prenotare ed avere disponibilità.
