We had high expectations based on prior reviews but were left somewhat disappointed. We booked an ocean front room with direct access to the beach and its own dedicated loungers. However the view is heavily obscured by the multiple loungers that are placed right outside for other guests. There’s therefore almost no privacy and it has a crowded feel, more akin to Spain than Thailand. The room was also smaller than we expected and dated. The bed is fully pushed up against one wall so there’s no chance to get out on that side and no really nice touches apart from a few lamps. The spa is good and has a well priced happy hour. The shower room provided for guests that have checked out is atrocious. It’s essentially the staff shower area. The beach and sea are was lovely and the neighbouring bars and restaurants are excellent. Breakfast was ok and the cocktails in the evening were passable altho those from the neighbouring Anantara were much better, especially when 1 for 1 during happy hour. We enjoyed Koh Phangnan but unlikely to return to the Buri Rasa

A bit far from most of the island. Not an issue if you want to stay calm, and enough options walking distance (restaurants, massage, motorbike rent…)

Beautiful beachfront location on a quiet bay with a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with excellent air conditioning and a great shower. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, especially with transportation arrangements. We enjoyed spending our days reading, swimming, and relaxing on the beach. The beachfront restaurant was very good, and the overall service was excellent. This was one of the most relaxing parts of our Thailand trip.

The breakfast was good but somewhat limited, especially for guests with food allergies. We also experienced some loud music from a nearby property on Sunday evening. Neither issue significantly impacted our stay, but they are worth noting.There is a drainage channel at one end of the beach. Guests staying in some of the ocean-view rooms closer to that side of the property may occasionally notice an odor, particularly at low tide. It did not ruin our stay, but it is something prospective guests may wish to be aware of when selecting a room.

Everything.. great staff, fantastic location, good value for the price, lovely beach bar and swimming pool, tasty food
