Great condo. Only complaint - watch out for the king size bed. We both have several large bruises from walking around the foot board! Ouch!
We had a very quiet, relaxing,wonderful stay at Sanibel. Hope we are able to stay there again in the near future.
The TV system was antiquated. We couldn't play a movie DVD at all in the bedrooms, and only accidentally was able to play one on the 20+ year old system in the family room. Due to some disabilities, I walk some distances with great effort. The walk (with armloads of beach stuff needed) from the building to the beach was over 3 blocks with 1/3 of it sand. If we ever come back to a nice condo with swimming pool, etc., we will need one on the beach side, and with more up-to-date TV equipment. My most serious complaint is the lack of security with old fashioned common door keys. My older son came in one day and found a guy fooling with our cooking range. He said that a needed repair was being attempted on one of our burners. (He didn't fix it.) This could have been scheduled before our check in. There is NO reason for ANYONE to enter our room without our being present to let them in. After all, Sanibel Condos is NOT a hotel. Hotels have daily maid service, and Heaven knows, at $134 we paid for it. Also, upon arriving there was no soap, no dish detergent, and no toilet paper. We had to go 2 miles and back to a store and buy them. Then, on the second day your service people brought them in a plastic bag along with liner bags for the trash can in the pantry.
Nice place. Only thing better would be if on the beach but only a short walk.
Our room was fantastic and the condo itself was nice, but a little sterile because there's no real presence of a lobby or other communal area. The office is hidden with a very small seating area in front of the fitness room. The place was advertised to have a hot tub but we were disappointed to find that it is NOT a hot tub, just a kiddie pool. It was also kind of a bummer to have to walk across the busy street to get to the beach. The place was advertised as "Gulf Front."
Loved our condo. Elevators were an experience though. Most of the time we would have to wait on an elevator at least 15 minutes and there were times when kids would shove carts in the elevator doors and stop the elevator for a period of 20 minutes. More elevators would be appropriate and I don't know what would help with the kid problem.
Experience was great. Beach is right across the street. Location was out of the busy part of town but still very close to everything. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed to live there.
location was nice and beach was just accross the road. pool was very clean, layout of condo was good and very spacious only problems were plaster on cealings is falling off and sliding doors on wardrobes were off rails. overall it was ok but i wouldnt go back there again unless there were some improvements done to condos.
It's was very enjoyable and right at the beach. The bed was a little hard but it was still an enjoyable stay and I would definatly go back and stay again!
