The managers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was thankful for them when I needed to book with them last minute. The room had everything I needed and it was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was lovely.

"Great for an overnight stay."

Terry the host was great. Breakfast was good with good veggie alternatives including veggie haggis. It was nice to have a bar and outside seating area. Lovely solid old building, great car park and situation a short walk from the town centre.

Room was clean and comfortable Owners were lovely and friendly Perfect location, walking distance from the centre Delicious breakfast Although we were here on a sad occasion, our trip was made better by the venue and hosts. Very helpful by offering an ironing board and making restraunt recommendations. Will definitely stay again when back in the area.

We arrived much later than expected, but were then met in the car park and given a very friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and three pots of mint tea were delivered to us in the comfortable lounge/bar. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The cooked breakfast delicious. It was a very pleasant stay and highly recommended.

"Perfect stay overnight in Dumfries"

The hotel was only a short walk away from the main street and the hotel car parking was plentiful. We checked in with Terry who was an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. He even printed out a sheet of tips for our next few travel days and pointed us towards attractions we would not have known about. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Hill Hotel. The breakfast was excellent. We loved the 1860s grand house setting and the beautiful breakfast! Thank you Terry!
