The Hill Hotel

Terry and Lynn were lovely, so helpful and friendly, and spoke to all of the guests, always taking an interest in their visit to the area and what they were doing. The breakfast was always freshly made, and there was a variety to suit all tastes. The room was clean, well played out and the facilities excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to be looked after by such wonderful hosts. Keep up the great work Terry and Lynn, your level of service and kindness is unique.

Beautiful, well maintained and well run hotel with first class breakfast and friendly and helpful management & staff.

We liked Dumfries and found a couple of good places to eat, but the city is obviously going through rather hard times at present. Even the 'Tourist Information' is permanently closed. Dumfries is still very much worth a visit, however!

Lovely room. The hotel was very clean and it clear the hosts were very proud if their hotel. Breakfast was exceptional.

Lovely place to stay

From the warm, friendly welcome to the delicious breakfast, this hotel felt like home from home. Beautifully decorated bedroom and large bathroom, and a super comfy bed. I slept like a log! Dark and quiet overnight. Perfect. Lots of parking, nice relaxing lounge bar for a nightcap, and Terry looked after us really well. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again if we’re passing.

Very welcoming friendly owners. Lovely quiet location but an easy walk to the town centre. Super comfy bed, slept so well. Nice breakfast.
