Clean, comfortable room. Lynne & Terry are friendly & helpful. Hotel located a short distance from Railway station. Quiet location.

"Ideal for golf stopover nearby"

Loved the room. Very clean, comfortable. Lovely breakfast room too with everything from cereals to cooked full breakfast. Lynn & Terry are very friendly & work hard to ensure standards are high.

Never understand why lots of Hotels don’t give you a separate towel for we ladies to dry our hair. Hate using bath towel or a hand towel. Never enough toilet rolls or coffee & milk. You could always request these so I’m being picky.

Close to town and easy to find

We are older and walk with canes and no elevator. But we knee it ahead of time and being a 1864 victorian home we enjoyed jst being there. The innkeepers were very gracious and carried our bags up and down.

We loved meeting Terry and Lynn. They were excellent hosts - very knowledgeable about the area and other places to visit on our travels. They were attentive and friendly. The location is great - we hopped off the train and were right there! The Hill House is walking distance to town and also very close to the residential areas for a nice evening stroll. We had a yummy breakfast each morning and we felt like family. Super nice experience.

We had a tough time with the shower - it was either super hot or very cold unless the “Eco” mode was used snd then the pressure was low. The toilets need to be flushed several times. We understood that these facilities had been upgraded for environmental sustainability.
