Couldnt fault anything about our stay at Stafford House from the initial welcome email from Hazel to our goodbyes. An impressive house and great place to stay, everything had been considered down to thebfinestbdetail. You could litetally turn up with just clothes! Breakfast was superb with locally sourced sausages and bacon. Garden and grounds outstanding amd location great for exploring. Will definitely returm
Excellent hosts and very helpful, we were 2 cyclists undertaking the Coast2Coast cycle ride, we arrived at Stafford House very wet and cold. Hazel and her husband could not of been more amenable in providing safe cycle storage, taking our many wet clothes, shoes and rucksacks and drying them overnight. Our room was very clean with a super bathroom and nice little touches in the room such as snug dressing gowns,fresh fruit, milk and a torch should we be late returning. A great comfortable bed after a days cycling which provided a super nights sleep.Breakfast was to a very high standard with a varied selection of cereals, fruit and hot food. Would thoroughly recommend Stafford House.
Stayed here more than once, amazing place to stay, hazel and her husband are fab owners, cant do enough for the guests and serve an amazing breakfast ,will be back to stay here again

Highly recommended and would stay again
The hosts could not have been more helpful if they had tried. We booked the en-suite double which was way beyond expectations and the shared sitting room was an added bonus. No evening meal [ hosts booked us into the local pub 200 yards away] but breakfast was fabulous. Wonderful setting, good location and perfect for visiting the Lake District and coast to coast walking.
Wonderfully renovated historic property set in lovely gardens, on the Greystoke Castle estate. Owners, Hazel and Ian, are very welcoming and informative. Five minute easy walk into village and Boot & Shoe Pub/Restaurant
Hazel was the perfect host with immaculate attention to detail. The property and grounds are beautiful. A real gem and we will certainly recommend and will return. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic.
