Superb
Fantastic property, extremely clean and well presented. The location is only 50m from the little village, with a great pub that served food. Ideal location to explore the lakes. Very safe and secure location.
My sister & i stayed for 1night, the 28th July. The property is in a beautiful, tranquil setting & was immaculate. Hazel & Ian were wonderful hosts. The double en-suite room on the top floor with the four poster bed would make an ideal venue for a bride & groom. Will definitely stay again Sandra
Probably the best overnight stay I’ve ever experienced. The cleanliness and attention to detail overall are beyond reproach. The quality of the refreshments and breakfast were absolutely excellent and Hazel could not have done more to ensure our stay was a happy one! The deluxe double room was a sight to behold with a newly installed four poster bed and wood panelling the the rear wall, views out to the immaculate gardens which Ian reckons he just chucks seeds in and lets them do their own thing (30 years experience as a head gardener) beyond and reaching out to the fields beyond. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that the room also included a library come sitting room, stocked with reading material for a rainy day if you were using this as a base for walking, just fabulous. We were asked if we wanted to book into the nearby (5 min walk) pub for dinner and as there’s no where else around for miles it makes sense to do this and the menu is fine and the food ok and the beer good, we can’t complain about it. The local village of Greystoke is delightful and we enjoyed a stroll around it after dinner. No sign of Tarzan, although there was a sign about Tarzan! Anyway, as a stop off going to Scotland or a base for the Lakes I couldn’t recommend this more highly.
Absolute gem of a find! Gorgeous guest house, owners are extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast was amazing, place was spotless. There's a fab village pub a 5 minute walk away for lunch/dinner and Greystoke is a beautiful wee village. Definitely recommend and will be back!

This was a fantastic stay. A historic property yet cozy and immaculate. If you are fussy with cleanliness there are no worries here it is extremely well kept with great attention to detail. The room was large and well equipped with common space that was also enjoyable as we're the excellent gardens. Great breakfast too! I cannot say enough good things about my stay and highly recommend it. A great value and location. Good pub walking distance for dinner too.
