"Works Christmas Party stayover"

10.0

A fantastic Old hotel dating back 500 years. Whilst the rooms were nice & warm, the public areas were a little chilly but to be honest was expected based on its age. The service though was exemplary.

"Excellent"

8.0

A welcoming Hotel, the evening meal was excellent, and delivered quickly, I know its London prices in that area but £5.10 for a pint of Peroni and £6.25 for a 250ml glass of Red made my eyes water!! The TV picture started to pixelate then went off altogether so an early night for me.Smashing breakfast though and I would go again.

"Mini break"

4.0

Would have like breakfast at 8am or earlier but was told that it was served at 9am no flexibility. When booking the room Hotels.com advertised breakfast would be an additional charge of £5.95 but when we came to book it on arrival there was a 50% increase and it was actually £8.95 per person. The room itself was dated and needed updating

"Charming and atmospheric!"

10.0

A fantastic place to stay for a history nut like me. Full of character with lots of Dickens memorabilia. Great to have stayed in the same place that CD did. To be honest, I did miss an en suite bathroom but this was more than compensated by the experience. Cobham is a lovely and interesting village, well worth exploring.

"Traditional Inn"

8.0

Room was great as a Traditional Inn room. Slightly wonky but good size and character. Welcome was fine but never felt there was a host in the pub. It was Friday night and busy. Breakfast was not available until 9 so unfortunately missed out as I was due at work by then. No alternative was offered. Darnley Arms just up the road seemed better as a pub.

"Be careful between quaint and quality..."

6.0

On visiting the hotel the building is a lovely flash back to years gone by unfortunately for us, they had no food on that day due to other commitments. This was the first problem. The second problem was that the rooms are so dated and uncomfortable I am surprised anyone can stay more than one night. I had to get up early due to the hardness (not firm, rock hard) of the bed. Every movement no matter how slight, caused the bed to make a noise and every floor board in the room I think was loose. There was a plug socket kept on the wall by only the cables connecting it and they had removed a shelf in the room and tried to cover it up with a cupboard. I do not think I would stay again and would not be recommending any of my work colleagues to stay there.

"Just 150 mts From Our Venue"

6.0

Reception on arrival mixed with minimal clear signage for would-be residents. Disliked being served breakfast by a man sat in the reception adjacent to the breakfast room smoking his e-cigarette. .......... smokers out there will call me piccy but!
