We liked the character, and the location. The gardens were very well tended and the bar area was comfortable.

There was no hot water in the morning for showering or my husbands shave The mattress was very old and uncomfortable. The decor was tired and in need of refurb The curtains/drapes were hanging down where hooks had come off We were told breakfast was until 9.30am, we went down at 8.30. The hot food was only just luke warm, the cold items i.e yogurt/fruit salad/fruit juice/milk etc were warm as they are not kept chilled…. So it was all very disappointing. It was before 9am as we were leaving but the staff had already started removing breakfast while we were sat there.

It was very central . Rooms were great and had a lovely view of the river .

The breakfast ! It wasn’t the best . It was all self service and the hot food was tried up and hard. In fact it was inedible.
