Lovely hotel, great location, staff super friendly, room a lovely size. A return visit with my partner after staying 12 years ago when we first met.

Bed and pillows pretty solid. Quiet in room except when neighbours were at their door and in corridor. Breakfast adequate, no extras. Hot water flask means cup of tea not the hottest. Bar area lacking some ambience in the evening. I'm being picky but you asked!

Great location, friendly staff and good variety at breakfast.

The room was dirty. The bath was really poor and unhygenic. Didnt look like it had been cleaned for a while...also smelly drains. An area of sticky jam (or similar) on side table of room. Picture hanging off wall and would have expected toiletries in room and more hot drink/biscuit selection in room. No full length mirror in room and lighting very poor for putting on make up. Car park full on arrival at 3pm.

Great location with lots to do within short walking distance. Breakfast was great and Helen looked after us very well. Friendly staff on reception and check-in was very easy..

Cold water staff in room was very stiff but that was only very minor point

Comfortable room but very noisy outside hotel that made it difficult to slee
