Dreams Vallarta Bay Resorts & Spa - All Inclusive

Our stay was AMAZING!!! The room, the SERVICE (butler Carlos was exceptional) , the restaurants (Ian and staff), and everything else. All very wonderful. We had a 20th anniversary vow renewal celebration and Livier Cortes was a great wedding coordinator! I really can’t say enough about this place or its staff. It was more than I could have dreamed it would be. Beautiful resort. Our photos look like the horizon and sunset were fake it was SO gorgeous!!!!

What a wonderful stay and experience. The staff was absolutely top notch, very friendly and attentative to all our needs. We had a wedding there and the resort did a phenomenal job helping manage all of the guests and making it as stress-free of a wedding as you could hope for. Livier Cortes was our wedding planner, and she and her team went above and beyond anything we could've hoped for! She was in constant communication throughout the process, months before we were set to arrive. And when there, she was proactive in making sure all of our wants and needs were realized. I cannot recommend Livier Cortes enough, she was incredible! The resort, of course, was beautiful as well, and we even saw a turtle lay and bury it's eggs on the beach!

We visited PVR in February 2025 to look for a wedding venue for our 20th vow renewal. We fell in love with the resort. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Paloma (Wedding Group Sales Manager) and Karla (Weeding Coordinator). They helped us plan our dream wedding in December 2025. From beginning to end they were very communicative and easy to work with. I was such a last-minute planner but having them assist me through the wedding planning process; the end result was better than I've imagined. Karla was so patient and provided me all the information I needed. She went above and beyond for me and my guests. Dreams Vallarta Bay staff was so welcoming and provided us great hospitality. They definitely made our trip and wedding day a memorable one.

We stayed at Dreams Resorts & Spas Puerto Vallarta expecting a relaxing family vacation, but unfortunately our experience did not meet expectations. During our stay, the resort hosted back-to-back corporate events. This created noticeable congestion across the property — long food lines, crowded pools, busy elevators, and limited availability throughout the day. Several restaurants were closed or reserved specifically for those events, which further reduced options for regular guests. The entertainment and activities also appeared to be heavily tailored toward corporate groups. As a family traveling with a young child, we found the programming limited and, at times, quite boring. Overall entertainment felt weak compared to what we expected from a family-focused all-inclusive resort. Another disappointment was not being able to use amenities at the sister property, Secrets, due to its adults-only policy. While understandable, it reduced variety and made the resort feel more restrictive. Overall: This resort may work better for business events or corporate travel. However, based on our experience, we would not recommend it for a family vacation, particularly when large company events are taking place.

My wife and 12 year old daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Dreams Vallarta Bay! We upgraded to a swim-out suite and it was so well worth it - we had a tranquil and tropical oasis to swim and soak right from our balcony, which was convenient as well. The resort is beautifully well-maintained, and we noticed workers constantly cleaning and improving the premises. Early every morning workers would clean the pools, and in the afternoon someone else would check the pools' pH levels, and this type of consistent maintenance and focus on cleanliness was evident throughout the property. The food was quite good, and we particularly liked the Carnival buffet and Tamarindo Mexican restaurant. Most of all our stay was an A-plus due to the incredible service! Employees were uniformly helpful, enthusiastic and resourceful, and we felt so very welcomed and comfortable at Dreams Vallarta Bay! Shout out to Leonardo for checking us in and making sure that we were happy with our swim-out suite (we of course were!) and to Joel for his enthusiasm at the pool exercise class and basketball games. And the restaurant staff was superb. The only negative is that I really disliked that we had to sit through a 25-minute timeshare pitch for Hyatt Unlimited Vacation Club as part of the check-in process. I had read other reviews noting this unappealing process, and when the front desk staff passed us off to a vacation club rep I blurted out "we want to waive the timeshare pitch!" Yet we still had to sit there, jet lagged and desperate to get into our room, listening to a timeshare presentation masquerading as part of the check-in process. Please Hyatt get the timeshare people out of your otherwise amazing hotel! Notwithstanding my disdain for the timeshare pitch, I very, very highly recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay and we had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We have been loyal customers of this resort for several years. I am so disappointed to say that they are fraudulent scammers. We booked a trip for this April 2026 back in 2025. When our plans changed in November of 2025, I notified the agent that we reserved with directly at the hotel and no response for several weeks. I called and emailed several times and finally reached someone who said that agent was no longer employed. I was directed to someone else. I sent several emails and called multiple times to request my $1000 deposit back and sadly, after almost 4 months, I have not received my deposit back. The cancellation policy is to cancel for a full refund 3 days before arrival. I canceled back in November of 2025 for an April 2026 trip and cannot get my money back. The thread of emails and hours I have spent dealing with this are insane. They once told me they couldn’t credit my original payment method because it had been too long and that they needed all of my sensitive bank info to process the refund directly to my bank account. I provided all of that and waited the 20 days they told me and still nothing. It has been more than a month since then and they emailed me that my refund was processed and still NOTHING. I am sick about this. We will never be back and I strongly encourage anyone interested in booking with this property to think twice. If you have to cancel, you will never get your money back. They are frauds snd scammers. Book elsewhere!

Very friendly staff, food was great and the location is perfect for whatever activity you want to go on.

We recently returned from a fantastic family trip to Dreams Vallarta Bay. It was beautiful and so convenient to not worry about any meals - it made for a truly relaxing experience. Arrival & First Impressions The entrance is stunning—located on the third floor up a ramp past a beautiful waterfall wall. The staff greeted us immediately, handled our bags, and provided a welcome drink. The open-air lobby offers a breathtaking view of the pools and the ocean. Everyone at the front desk was excellent, and English was spoken fluently throughout the resort. The Rooms: We stayed in connecting Junior Ocean View Suites. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The View: Absolutely beautiful. I loved that the balcony railing was glass, so we had an unobstructed view of the ocean right from our beds. Amenities: The bathroom featured a jetted tub and a shower with great water pressure and heat. Noise: We were close to the elevators and could hear the evening shows, but it wasn't bothersome or loud enough to disrupt our rest. Service: Housekeeping was very responsive when we requested extra items. Pools & Beach The pool area was the highlight for my kids. Toddler/Kids Pools: One pool is quite shallow and was perfect for my toddlers. It was very warm (almost too warm by the afternoon, even in February!). The adjoining pool with the waterslide was also a hit. Note: The slide is concrete; it’s smooth, but a little "bumpy" compared to plastic, though the kids didn't mind. There was an appropriately watchful lifeguard on duty. Main Pools: We loved the all-ages pool near the cabanas and noticed a separate pool with a swim-up bar. Cabanas: We rented a mini-cabana for $200, which was an excellent value for a family of five. It gave us a dedicated home base in the shade. Shout out to Junior, our attendant, who was fantastic and kept us stocked with drinks! The Beach: Just a few steps from the pool. The sand was nice, the water was clean, and the waves were fun for the kids without being too strong. The water was warm enough in February for play, but we didn't totally submerge or try to swim. There are convenient showers to rinse off the sand before heading back to the pool. Dining & Food The food was solid overall—I'd describe it as "good, not excellent," but the convenience of not needing reservations was a huge benefit and made me a little more forgiving. The Buffet: Our go-to for breakfast and lunch. The made-to-order omelets and the traditional stews were highlights. The baked desserts were hit-or-miss, but easy to skip. Restaurants: We enjoyed Castaways (seafood/grill). We tried to get a Teppanyaki table by lining up 20 minutes early, but still couldn't snag a spot! Poolside: Solid options like burgers, pizza, fries, and ice cream. Entertainment & Kids Club I highly recommend downloading the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app before you arrive. You can see the full activity schedule for the resort and the Kids Club without even having an active reservation, so this can help when you're deciding on a resort. Kids Club: They take children ages 3 and up. While we didn't do a full drop-off, we went during "Family Hour" (where parents stay). It felt very secure with a locking door system. They enjoyed the playground, some coloring, snacks, and TV. Evening Shows: We saw the Beatles tribute and the traditional Mexican show. Both were high-quality with great music and acrobatics. They start at 9:00 PM; this would have been late for our kids, but worked for our home time zone. Final Verdict The staff truly makes this place. From the servers who remembered us daily to our buffet waiter who drew chocolate art on a plate for the kids on our last morning—the service is a 5/5. If you want a stress-free family getaway with beautiful views and excellent service, I would highly recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay.

Our family had one of the WORST vacations and all at the hands of the DREAMS staff!!!!! From being injured in the poolside jacuzzi with the light dangling by the wires, it cut deep into back of foot and had blood running when getting out. The jet bubbles prohibited seeing the issue until it sliced across the heel. My partner was approached later that same day saying he was seen touching another male’s rear end and that kind he f behavior was not welcomed. Now, the male in question was an invited friend and his husband and YES there was a pat on the rear as they said good bye, but not a grope. Now keep in mind there were BOTH straight and gay couples in the pool holding each other and kissing , but somehow that was tolerated but my partner’s action was raised with concern. Now over the next three days we had various managers on duty come to us EACH day to discuss what transpired and during those next three days, not one of them addressed the injury of the jacuzzi which paperwork was completed, a person walk with them to the jacuzzi to show what was happening and some sort of “medic”addressing the bleeding. We were told that the employee that spoke to my partner about the inappropriate behavior has been put into sensitivity training. What needs to happen is the front house staff go to customer service training. The concierge desk is filled three deep with employees and not one will help the front desk or any other staff. When we asked if they could call/text when a package arrived that said no, we can check with them instead. I could continue with our experiences but am getting PTSD typing about them. This establishment has a lot of room for improvement. Also beware if they are holding a group function, your as guests suffer because they hold it in the lobby and with only one bar and then a sea of people blocking the paths to the SLOWEST elevators, you will get your 10,000 steps in no time.
