Was as advertised and great location before an early morning flight.

Bathroom looked like it had been done up, but cleaning not so good, with hair on floor. Shower was very poor water pressure, unable to wash hair using it.

"Unprofessional"

There was no hand soap, or soap or shower gel in shower. They provided hair dryer - but cord was so dirty, and dryer did not work. There was no hot water in shower, so obviously showers were very quick with cold water. There was a glass dining table, which we would not use. Just looking at it from sitting on bed it had a layer of dust/grease. I felt table and it was very gritty and dirty. We booked on booking.com as it said checkin was from 10am. We were going to function which started at 1pm nsw time, somthought we could drop off bags and know which unit we were in. I had emailed calico court direct few days earlier - no reply, no response. Then tried to ring no answer -rang out. No message facility. Tried day before checkin to ask checkin time (couple of times) - no answer, rang out. Tried day of checkin, again rang out. Several attempts made - no answer. Eventually phone answered by male who had no idea what unit we would be in and even if unit would be finished being cleaned by 2pm. Just went on about staff issues and even said if you can come and clean a unit you can check in sooner, and continued re staff issues. We left function to check in so,as not to inconvenience management later after function finished. Met with male who was still talking re staff issues etc. Put our bags in unit and returned to our function. After function returned to unit. Found problems as previousky mentioned. On checkout inreturned key to office. Male asked if everything was ok. I then gave him list of items as outlined above. He was more interested in telling me about employee who had not given him a tax file number and she was demanding payment for hours worked. This has nothing to do with customers. I told him i have had management rights to complex and well aware of what is required. He then proceeded to tell me he is an unpaid who works for his parents. He cant make decisions and will pass information onto parents.

"We did not end up staying."

The location was ideal

The first room we were given was 18, as soon as we opened the door the overwhelming smell of dog was nearly sickening. We opened the window and went to turn the aircon on in hopes of airing it out but the air conditioner was covered with mould on the inside. The smell started making us feel nauseous so I went and asked if there was another room we could have and we were shifted to 12 (I was told we were swapped with another booking so somebody else was to be given the dog smelling room that night). The new room smelt fine but the air conditioner was again covered in mould and this time wouldn’t turn on. We also couldn’t find how to turn the tv on either. The room was very hot (middle of summer) and with no fans at least, we knew we couldn’t stay there comfortably. I went back to reception and although I felt bad for the guy who was managing the desk he become abrupt and clearly annoyed with me. I thanked him for his help despite the outcome but that we would be finding somewhere else to stay for the night and he told me he didn’t understand why but fine - even though it was very clear my issues with both rooms. So I lost out on the cost of the room for the night and had to find somewhere else to stay very last minute which meant much higher rates.

"Just a bed for the night"

That i had a bed and bathroom.

Remove the very smelly carpet, repair the front door with a kick whole, replace the fridge and cabinet it sits in. Dump the discusting couch. Then a bit of cleaning would

Lack of communication a cause for great concern and angst, I had tried two different phone numbers (no message bank) and many emails several times over 5 days at different times with NO response or reply

"I don’t recommend it."

The location is good.

The shower was terrible!!! Using the beach showers was actually better than the one in the hotel. And I understand that the ad mentions there is no internet, but the mobile phone signal was also very weak. My boyfriend and I have different providers, and neither of them worked properly. It would be a great improvement if the hotel invested around $50 per month in Wi-Fi.

"Good"

It was advertised with four stars. When I got there, it was only three stars. The rooms smell like it had animals in it. There was people sitting at the front of my room smoking and drinking alcohol being loud on their phone. I return to the office to speak to the manager. Said I won’t be staying here and ask for a refund. They said they won’t be giving a refund because the cancellation date had been passed. I then left got myself another Hotel not using bookings and then cancelled my further accommodation with bookings. Advertising something as a four star and on arrival finding out it’s a three star that’s what I’m annoyed about.
