Hotel El Gran Marqués

Always one of the better places to stay in Trujillo, especially in the summer heat because they have a/c and two pools. Breakfast is good with good service. The room has a refrigerator, good beds, a safe, hot water, nice bathroom.

The location was good. Lovely cleaning staff. Security in front of the door. Beautiful pool inside and on the roof from the hotel. A nice menu in the restaurant and good looking bar.

We were a bit disappointed by the fact that some basic facilities in the room didn't function. For example our air conditioning didn't work, as well as the light in the bathroom and the locker. Altough we were proposed two times to go to another room, they fixed it all, but still it gave some inconvenience at the beginning. In the end one member of the staff was able to talk English with me. That gave me a lot of language barriers. For a four star hotel I expected a bit more people where I could talk English with at least. In my honest opinion from the bottom of my heart, a bit too overrated for a four star hotel.

El drenaje del lavatorio de manos pasaba lento y había pintura descascarada en la pared producto de humedad que debería ser repintada. Pero en general, la habitación muy cómoda y el trato muy cordial. El desayuno de muy buena calidad y variedad.

Like the breakfast, good bed and bathroom, quiet, pools and gym, several good restaurants nearby like Vital Foods for vegetarian. Wifi didn't work on my last night and next morning. This is one of my favorite hotels in Trujillo.

Nice property

Me parece que no tiene relación lo que ofrece la pagina de reservas con lo que nos cobraron al final, muy mal. Me dieron una serie de explicaciones que no me dejaron satisfecho e inclusive recomendaron reservar directamente con ellos que es mas barato.

I always have a good experience and it's my favorite place to stay for the price. Nice hotel, and the staff is friendly and speaks English well. Near supermarket and restaurants. Breakfast is average.
