Buena Vista Chic Hotel

I stayed for 4 nights, it was a wonderful experience first time in Costa Rica. The staff was amazing, the hospitality was fantastic, the breakfast, lunch and dinner menu was amazing. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens was just beautiful experience of a lifetime i definitely recommend coming here. I will be back visiting again soon!!! Pura Vida thank you for giving me life again.

Great staff

The property is in a great location with 5-20 min walking distance to a few good restaurants. The staff was very nice but the food didn’t meet the expectations on the menu. It has no amenities and the pool is very small but the view was great as the hotel is on the mountain side. It is very close to Alajuela with an Uber ride being about 5 mins. Uber is very cheap in Costa rica.

They were absolutely amazing!!! Attentive and very clean.

No iron, microwave, air conditioner or phone. And the water pressure was low and the papaya body wash stinks. The food was not very good.

Absolutely beautiful place! Stayed here for a night to rest from travel before headed out for a retreat in Montezuma @ Anamaya. The staff was wonderful! Super polite and accommodating! The food and drinks were great! The views from the property were stunning, seeing the city lit up in the evening looked like Christmas lights twinkling in the distance. I would recommend this place to anyone and would stay there again when traveling into SanJose.

The property is gorgeous. It has beautiful views and it is located within a mountain, lots of vegetation. The only thing that needs improvement it is the pool. It is very small and it looks too old.

Our room had an odd smell and the walls were very thin. Didn’t really look as kept up as in the photos. Our rooms view was not as impressive as I’d hoped, and considering what we spent, I had expected a cleaner room and more peaceful stay. Despite this, breakfast was fine and the staff were very kind. Wouldn’t stay here again, but the close proximity to some yummy restaurants and the city of Alajuela was nice.
