Buena Vista Chic Hotel

This property is absolutely beautiful!

We chose the BUENA VISTA CHIC HOTEL because we needed a place to crash after a long travel day. Although the food in the restaurant was fine, and the staff there amazing, I still have to leave a 2-star review because there are items that would be easy to remedy IF management cared to remedy them. 1. We stayed in room 10. The shower never got hot. We let it run for a solid 10 minutes and it never got hot. It never even got warm. I had to wash my hair in the sink. The front desk sent a maintenance person who stood there for about 10 minutes and said that there was nothing he could do to make the water warmer. All I wanted was two things: take a shower after a long day of travel and to sleep. 2. The hotel lets people sit outside with food and drink and chat, which happened to be right outside of our window. These people also smoked. If the hotel cares enough that they don’t permit smoking in the rooms. Why would they permit somebody to smoke literally outside of my window?!?!?! I went to the front desk and the front desk person did absolutely nothing and said that she could not ask the guests to do anything. When I went the second time to complain to her that she had done absolutely nothing because she clearly had no intention of confronting anybody, the very helpful bartender went and asked the people to move, but they continued to make noise until quite late (after 10 pm) and I was forced to close our windows and be in an extremely stuffy uncomfortable room where I could still hear people outside. If people want to stay at a hotel to party because they’re on vacation that’s fine, but if the hotel doesn’t respect the rights of the people making no noise who need to sleep and just want to take a warm shower that this is not the place for you.

Excellent stay in gorgeous villa with terrific restaurant

The included breakfast was off the menu, and absolutely delicious. We took advantage of walking the coffee trail every day we were there, a short stroll, but very relaxing.

This is a great property located about 20 minutes away from the airport. It has an amazing view of the capital. Although it is a small hotel, my family and I enjoyed it. It is quiet, safe and the staff is professional, polite and attentive. It is not crowded! The hotel offers free transportation from/to the airport. If you are checking out early, make sure to let the receptionist know, so you can enjoy a sack breafast to eat on your way to the airport. The only reason I'm not giving the excellent rating is due to the unstable internet in my room and no AC. However the tempature in the room was not that hot.

Very nice property overall, the room was a little humid and damp due ti all the rain. No A/C in the room to help control the dampness would recommend a portable dehumidifier. The sofa bed was really bad. Thankfully it was just our kids that slept on it but it had server spring issues (picture the movie money pit :))

The walking trails on the property were very nice. The nighttime view of San Jose is very beautiful. It had a very welcoming atmosphere.

Beautiful property with awesome view

Love this property. Villa was exceptional and they decorated for my birthday. Food and drinks were delicious. Customer service was 10/10!

The Staff at the hotel were incredible,they offered great customer service.I would highly recommend to everyone.
