Buena Vista Chic Hotel

This is a very clean and lovely property. Staff are just excellent. Friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was just great- selection and quality. Will stay again. The grounds are well maintained and so pretty.

Nice hotel with super friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Clean, spacious rooms with great territorial views. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was included and had several options. Watched the Eagles trounce the Chiefs in the Super Bowl on the TV in the bar, and found the bar staff to be really great. Drinks were not expensive at all. We were remembered this morning at breakfast and congratulated on the Eagles win. 🦅 Would recommend highly.

Great choice for a one night stay before/after flight! It does feel a bit outdated, but everything still looked nice and clean. I got my hopes up reading about the coffee trail, thinking it was a longer trail, but it is very short. It is definitely still worth experiencing, but keep in mind it only takes about 10minutes to get though. We had dinner out instead of trying to the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. We also did not have AC in our room. It was fine, but I didn’t realize that when I booked it, so also make sure to check. The biggest benefit was free airport shuttles both ways!

The hotel was easily accessible from the airport (just 25 minute drive) yet far enough away to feel one with nature. The room was large with a great view and all the staff were very pleasant. We will be back again the night before flying home

This property is hidden pearl close to airport area, very well -maintained garden. Free shuttle to airport is convenient fto take international flights at SJO! The staff are very helpful to each guest! Restaurant staff service are great, food is excellent, price is reasonable! Very a pleasant stay, definitely will come back again! Thank you!

This is a perfect small hotel, which we overnighted at between flights returning to USA. The pool was warm enough to enjoy, there were lots of places to use outdoor chairs to enjoy the gardens and the birdwatching was excellent right there. Wonderful to have restaurant right here.

This was a final stop after 14 nights in Cost Rica just before our flight home. The guy at check in was very friendly and efficient. After that it was all a bit of a let down. The hotel need a total lift, the rooms are dated , beds are uncomfortable and bathrooms are shabby. To add to it the rooms are noisy and you can year people in adjacent rooms and walking past. The food at dinner was awful, the Prawn Curry was bland and chicken was dry and tasteless. Staff stood at the counter texting and zero atmosphere. Breakfast was ok but really need to change the menu. The staff in general were nice and polite and it’s a clean hotel perhaps We were expecting something better but atleast it was only one night

-terrible, paid $800 American for 2 nights, staff was miserable, made you feel like a burden for just being there, no air conditioning, wifi was hit and miss, menu and food was very disappointing, no meat for breakfast either, room was noisy, bed was old and uncomfortable, TV was ancient and old with terrible, unintelligible sound and poor picture, 1 English channel, rough neighborhood, pool and amenities disappointing…worse hotel experience ever…
