The staff were amazing

L’organisation était chaotique et les rappels fréquents pour obtenir les transferts sui s’avèrent payants et non pas courtois comme annoncé. Le mot Concierge doit manquer dans le registre. Dommage.

Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. The pool area is nice. The pool itself does need a little TLC though. Bathrooms are starting to look a little dated but are cleaned well. Can't speak to the water access as the waves were rolling in pretty heavy when we were there so we didn't have a swim in the sea. The food in the main restaurant (Cafe Vila) was very nice and the menu is varied.

Bed was a little hard for our taste and the pillows weren't great either. We found it a bit funny that breakfast was served in a way that you could order only one food item from the menu and also one beverage. It seems strange that you cannot get a second cup of coffee for free in a 4-star hotel. If you'd like a juice with your breakfast you'll have to pay extra. Also no free tropical fruit as you would expect in Vanuatu.

Location is good

Facilities require some upgrades, bathroom shower clogged, the resort might have been up to the standards couple of years ago, but today is not there anymore.

The AC works very well and the room was quite comfortable. On the outside the resort is a bit rough around the edges and there is not much to do in the rainy season. It is far from the city, reachable with private transportation (>30 USD, either way) or perhaps by “public” minibuses which are a bit difficult to navigate. Staff was plenty but mostly kept to themselves.

The “included” breakfast is a bit of a joke: for example, one can take a small fruit bowl, one slice of toast and a small cup of plunger coffee. Everything thereafter costs extra, another toast, coffee, a juice, etc. It’s less than one would get in a standard youth hostel, let alone any resort I have ever been to. Overall, the onsite restaurants are simply not very good. The “basic” restaurant cannot even do a Margherita pizza (tasteless doe), the “fine dining” outlet has trouble with an omelette (dry). Umbrellas are being rented at a profit to guests … and that is the theme here: tourists are good as long as they keep on consuming extras. Yet, the latter tend to underdeliver, unfortunately. Not recommended.
